I lost a Nike ball yesterday on #11 at St. Andy's. It wasn't hit any different than I usually hit it, but it had some idiot wind gust up & apparently it hit the hard ground past the green & bounded OB.

I'm still furious dammit, but oh well, I'll keep playing i suppose, really furious man like , DAMMIT!

I lost one on nbr 11 too Bubba, hit the green 10 feet in front of the pin, one bounce and was gone, when did they concrete that green. Strange that it happened just after an eagle on nbr 10, Dropped the game, shut the computer off for the day. Another eagle bites the dust.

    BlondinJDB:

We all need reminding of this from ime to time.  Remember a "low" trajectory driver is NOT affected by the wind as much as a "higher" trajectory 3 wood.  the 3 wood will require greater compensation for wind than the driver.  Don't know if this is what affected your shot or not..just giving a general "overhead" statement for any reader to file into their memory bank....lol

After my ball splashed down I thought about the difference between the two shots.. Trajectory was a major factor.. I'm not a veteran here at the WGT.. Not even close.. I made a mistake by not taking the difference in the shots into account..  After cooling down a bit what came to mind was how close this game is to the real thing.. Maybe it got up there and caught a gust of wind.. It was going right at the pin then made a sharp right.. i guess the ball and the stroke along with the $17.00 for a new mouse should be looked at as tuition for the lesson..Time to go finish the round.. Thanks again everyone for your help.. S2M = )

Without seeing the shots is hard to say (even seeing the shot without all the info in replays) but I would suggest with the higher trajectory of the 3W wind has a greater affect on the ball. L-R wind  back pin is a tough and risky shot to get close so I usually aim way left to leave a tough 2 putt par, but its better than wet ball.....and broken mouse lmao

I feel your pain!! This game is really screwing all of us up!!  Wonder why I keep playing it everyday!!  Just waiting to get back on the so called "HOT" streak.  Just shot 4 under St. Andrews. Hit the ding on every drive and 7 times on second shot. None landed where I had AIMED!! Dinged 6 putts and yep missed 4 that were dead straight!! This game is getting ridiculous. Never plays right anymore.....
