    Hello,

I buy / use a lot of balls. Some I try out first.

However, when I try out 3 balls - and they run out during a match, it is most annoying to then get WGT standard (unlimited) balls.

So, as a suggestion, add the possibility to change balls in-game.

    Thanks

    Bugsy

As a suggestion do NOT START a game if ball hits is RED. If at the start of game and you are told this is the LAST Ball of this type, either BUY another sleeve or QUIT the game. You can always equip your bag before starting any game.

Rules of golf state you can't change the type of ball you use during a round.

Not exactly although the one ball directive is used in most major competitions.

    +1!

Me thinks that WGT applies the "no choices" rule once again - in the last chat, this was mentioned, and not the official one-ball-condition.

It is interesting.  WGT imposes a match committee rule that only ever applies to professional tournaments.  Then, charges for entry into tournaments and takes 20% - sort of like an amateurs golf competition.  So are we pro's or amateurs?  Something to do with having cake and eating it too....

Incorrect, Ecka. It is not a pro vs. amateur distinction. I play in amateur tournaments that impose the "one ball" rule all the time. Virtually every tournament conducted by the local golf associations impose the rule.

Additionally, professionals pay entry fees into almost every single tournament on most professional golf tours. Some examples are shown here:

one ball does not apply or you would not be allowed to finish with "rocks" ... its all about WGT selling more balls ....

    How? Think about it.

The one ball rule as imposed by WGT enables the player to be able to finish the round. That is better than simply disqualifying the player and forcing him/her to lose all credits, time and effort invested in the game at hand as would normally happen in real life. The price you pay for being able to finish the round is being forced to play with those "rocks".

I would imagine that the rule honestly does not increase ball sales all that much. Players who have decided on a certain ball to play are going to buy it anyway. They are even given the opportunity to buy more during the round without penalty.

Players testing different balls should be doing so in practice mode or even things like free unlimited play tourneys where no credits are at risk. Then it makes no difference whether you choose to leave the round or not.

It is the responsibility of the player to make sure his/her bag is stocked with a sufficient number of the same type of ball before teeing off in the first place. Use up the odds and ends balls in practice rounds and CTTH competitions without entry fees
