Nice in the real game but not here.

You can only punch it, and it will be shorter than a hybrid.

I wonder how some seem to use it on the green.

I understand the punch.. was curious if anybody plays this shot; and if so, what and when.

Back when before I made legend and before they brought out the R11 3 wood I carried no 3 wood and would use the punched driver on a few Par 5 second shots. As long as you don't need to get over a bunker or hazard it works fairly well. Also the punched driver can be very effective from the tee on # 1 @ St. Andrews if you have heavy tail winds, Sneaky long there but safe.

For a putt of a foot or 2 just use punch and move the meter about 10% power and you get a topped drive that usually will go in the hole. I am almost up to silver choke relief doing that. The game counts that punched putt as a drive of under 100 yards.

I think they stopped that counting as a choke relief a few months back.

Thus it may be more useful than I thought.

SA#1 always. It keeps you out of the water on any kind of mishit and also gives you a full shot to the green (as opposed to choking some other shot.)

The 239 yard par 3 at RSG. A punched driver runs up nice.

Any long par 5 fairway where there's room to roll and you're fighting heavy wind in a bad direction.

    Thankyou to all that posted.

I was more intrested in driver on the fairway... not the punch shot. I guess i was'nt that clear with my first post.

I have played this shot in real golf with a 9.5 degree driver on a long par 5 (595 yards) because my 3 wood tends to hook a little.

Yes; I've played the same shot with hybrids, 3 irons, 4&5 irons and 5 wood. even 6 iron when the warm wheather is here.

I've yet to try (maybe in a pratice round) because i hate pratice... a driver of the deck (driver from fairway)

Does anybody use this shot (in the game) and what are your results.
