It seems as though, the longer WGT is around, the more money-hungry they get.  Ads & more ads all the time, I understand some...

It kinda started out when some of the pin placements made more of a chance to lose a ball..  lol..........   more expensive equipment, more challenges (which cost money), etc, etc.......

Now, the "Hole-in-one" challenge pops up on every par 3 hole is just an aggravating reminder of how greedy WGT is getting.

I think we're all well aware of where the gambling portion of this site is, without the old "carrot in front of the cart" trick, or the taunting "Carny"!

If you go to the gameclient, bring up the menu and go to game settings you can shut the challenges off.

But where is the "winning point" of the players?

That's exactly right... players don't win...

Am thinking of calling Mr. WGT for a mere 500,000 credits and talk to him about it... he doesn't think they're greedy at all!

Might even spend a few hundred thousand credits on a custom bag, what the heck?!!!

I'm staunchly against end user exploitation and I'm usually quite vocal when it comes to players getting royally shafted but here's the sticky wicket.....

Players are free to walk away from it all whenever they choose. No one is forced to spend on WGT.....forced to see ads or hole in 1 challenges.

WGT cannot be blamed for trying to generate extra income by whatever means they see fit. It's their website, their business and as such, they will have a business strategy geared to earn them more revenue in order to expand different areas of this game and any other projects they're developing, including their baseball game.

There is still the free video / surveys for credits option open to people (for now anyway)

    However...........

If particular balls are too expensive for folks..............don't buy them

If particular equipment is too expensive for folks ...........don't buy them

If adverts annoy you...........install adblock plus for you browser

If hole in one challenges irritate your bowels............turn them off.

The options are there for you to control.

    Problem Solved!

Personally, I choose to spend money because to me money's less expensive than my time.

thebigeasy nailed this one! And where else can you find a game this good that is absolutely free. I have played with many here that are using starter clubs and balls. Personally, I have not spent $1 real dollar here, just invested in a lot of my time. And most days I use that plain vanilla ball and have an enjoyable day on the course, not worrying about the water on #10 at Congressional.
