    Tightrope:
I don't think that "the wedgers" use the wedge more than 3 times as it is, not unless they are completely useless at putting.

I like your post, but not sure I can agree with this. Depends on your definition of wedger.

I have no issues with someone reaching for a wedge. I've seen it in MP and Alt. I'm thinking specifically about that 9 hole Best of putting. I find it hard to credit a putter is being primarilly used when someone posts under 20 foot (or under 10ft) for 9 holes.

There's one hole that you play for 25ft with a putter that always rolls on down the slope at least 8 ft past. There's another where you have to play heavy left that you never get nearer than 10 ft to the pin.

I'm happy to hold my hands up on the forum if someone wants to post some videos of how they get it very close on those holes with a putter. In fact I'd love to see a video 9 hole where someone posts a sub 20 footer round and only 3 wedge or fewer shots are used. I will be in awe of the work they have put in.

It took me a lot of trial and error to get some consistency on all green speeds. Although I'll never beat the wedge users in the WGT Blitzes, (tour greens only) I'm confident of getting good scores nonetheless.

Below is a rough guide for the CTTH putting challenge on tour greens.  The position of the direction line markers (1st-2nd-3rd-5th), the green markers on the power level and hit line are not exact but a good guide.  The wind speed and wind direction do affect the ball movement,  -especially on the 8th- so adjustments are needed where necessary. For other green speeds on the 2nd-5th-6th and 9th holes, you'll need to change the power distance length.

With trial and error, this should improve your putting.  It won't be good enough to beat the wedge users in the Blitzs, but at least you'll be able to say you're a competent putter, (with a putter) if not already.  You should even get some aces. The free starter balls are good enough for CTTH putting and the meter speed is not fast.   Good luck.

Nice post Dubfore. I notice you put two green lines on the swing meter. I assume that they indicate the power level and your hit line. Is this correct?

Nice dubfore. I think I have been under 40 using just the putter. Maybe 36 ish. Can't remember now. Just the once mind.

I say BS = BULL  S - - T I know in real golf it's supposed to be legal or acceptable, but in a CCTH putting on WGT it should be a putter only.

Yes Zio, but as I said in the text, they are not exact but a good guide.  You will get  a better idea of what adjustments to make when you play.  Best I did was 19ft, that included three aces, but I can't remember what green speed though.  I've never used a wedge on greens.

I'd be interested in knowing if the above info helps anyone's CTTH putting scores improve.

I would not sign a petition, because using a club other than a putter on the green is a legal part of playing the game.

If you choose to limit yourself to only using a putter that's OK.

However, don't expect much sympathy if you get beat by someone that uses a legal club other than a putter.

Who's expecting sympathy? We know all about the rules and what's legal.

If the wedge was used on greens in real golf of even a fraction of the times it's used in WGT, I think a rule change would be strongly considered.

In the putting blitzs here, it should be just what it says, putting.  At least now since the introduction of the random prize awards, the 'wedgers' can't win the credits like they used to.
