There is a concern among some of my mates in our CC about seeing the coming US Open been played on Uneven Lies, is this something WGT would like to comment about?

We all remember the last US Open played on "very fast" greens called by WGT "tournament" greens.... is this the time for a new surprise and finally seeing the Uneven Lies feature fixed (short game & grid bug) in an official tournament?

As one of the main supporters of the feature, I would love to see the UL for the US Open.

....just wondering.

+1 Eric I think it would be fantastic but as long as they have fixed the bug that robbed me of winning the last UL tourney by making me play the last 6 holes blind, an apology of course was far to much to expect once again and yes I will be bringing this up for the next 3 years.

They have fixed the bug where if you leave the game and then come back, the UL grid come back as well. Corwyn tested it in one of the UL RG's recently and it's fixed.

I'd really like to see the Virtual US Open on Merion played in UL as well.

I still dream on seeing the cut at 68 for example and that only can happen with uneven lies and single qualifying matches.

WGT would not like to make those qualifying rounds as "single" round (money wise) but at least the uneven lies would make the qualifying very interesting as mentioned before.

Why can't Wgt do 1 with even lies and 1 with uneven lies. It would be interesting to see how the scores compare.

A decent compromise would be to have both formats used in 2 different versions of the Open. The results sure would be interesting, especially considering who would excel at both. :-)
