I can tell you if the open was un even i would not play so you can count me out right away. I would be fine with 40mph winds but until they have un even a little more realistic than no way am i going to play them. Shot a few 29 and 28 but throwing away 100 credits is alot different than playing in the open.

    DAZZA501:

The winner of the US Open in uneven lies will be who ever is the luckiest...simple.

WGT will not set the Open on uneven lies without fixing the "short game" (around the green) which in my opinion is too tough.

I remember seeing one of those guys from Romania as winner in the last UL Invitational with a fantastic 60 at Oly with uneven lies in single play mode . I could sware he is not lucky at all, he is certainly very skilled.

You are so right. That is where UL needs work. Aroound the green is very unrealistic. I had one pitch from 10 yards on #8 @ Kiawah Island in the Nation  UL tourney last year that went 1 yard foward and 8 yards straight right. Pitches and chips in real life are not affected that drastically due to an uneven lie. The only way that shot would do that in real life is if I raised up and shanked it.

Pls do not set UL. It is really unrealistic. SHOOTING and HOPE, LOL.

Count me out as well if its UL......not interested in playing if thats the case. Until they find a way to make it realistic i won't even play it. Some say it is better so i try it from time to time......but its not golf i can tell you that much.....its horrible. Yardages and sidehill compensations are so far out i would rather play Wii golf.

... do you realize the money they would lose just on balls alone from players not playing.

Put it the other way around, WGT would make more money by players going in the water with uneven lies.

Seriously, I do not think the big guys would let the Open pass through without given it a try or probably many tries on uneven lies.....this is not any Uneven Lies Invitational or RG, this is the Open!!!!

The Big Boys make up 3% of the people playing here. WGT would lose thousands for sure think about that for a second,,lol. Many players will play this tourney, and lose many balls,,,and not even qualify. Uneven lies would lose all those players. Can't see it. Maybe 2 Opens, not just a uneven lie tourney. Would not be to smart a decision on WGT's part i would not think.

I'd assume the qual would be standard, players do need to learn the course first.
