With a callaway or Nike my 64º wedge will flop 12 yards on a 75% power fit - guaranteed

Lately I have found the damn ball travelling another 7 to 8 feet further, but not all the time.

So for example short on #18 at RSG I have 13 yards, I hit my normal 75%flop full backspin, and what happens the fukkker goes past and rolls down the hill.

What the hell is going on , I normally stiff any wedge pitch or flop from that distance , but now it is all screwed up..

    This is what normally happens

and in the same friggin round this happens

    Hy...

Go back to the Cleveland 64° 31 Level. Some weeks ago i bought the Cleve 80 level wedge, but i was not happy with this club for shure. I had to much missing shots like before. And i go back to the smal edition.

Also i cicket bouth 60° clubs from Cleveland out, and have a ATV right now,

On the last free rental weekend, i played lot off times with all ATV and Max Wedges. I like to tell you this wedges are the best i ever played befor.

Same thing with my putter, every more times i have the Spider L 19 in my bag. Its a very great putter.

    Greetings  from Alps

And where do you suppose the one that went in would have wound up had the hole not gotten in the way? The pace on it suggests what happened in the first replay where the hole didn't get in the way.  ;-)

The pace on the holed flop suggests to me that it would have gone no more than 12 to 15 inches past the hole had it missed, otherwise there is no way it would have dropped at anything travelling faster.

The second flop was uphill so yes, I don't expect it to stop dead, but 7 - 8 feet past is ridiculous, and so out of sync with the 1000's of flops I have played.

With all due respect sir you have played 2,000 rounds and if your scrambling stats are anything to go by you need to work out a new system.

An uphill flop shot will run more because it's not in the air as long so it's still traveling in a forward motion.

Just where did you come up with that number? With the 64 degree at 75% it is more like 15 yards. and that is 9 feet further than you played.

What has gone wrong with the flop for you is that you are still playing it like you are using Callaways or Nikes when you did in fact in that round use the 1 dot spin WGT GI2-S ball.
That is the big difference. 1 dot of spin versus at least 3 up to 4 1/2 dots of spin makes a very big difference in stopping power.  I can't believe everyone over looked that.

I can't be 100% SURE but I think your normal shot was from the fairway while 2nd one was from the fringe, which explains the skid. And yes, if your first shot didn't ram in the hole, it would have been 5-7 feet by as well.

    With all due respect, ma'am,

I always have a wry smile when comments such as your own are posted.

How do you know the player in receipt of your razor sharp wit hasn't played 95% of their total games using basic starter equipment/balls?

Instead, why not invite them to a game and enlighten them with any favourable tips I've no doubt you possess?

    Anytime I'm green feel free.

    Peace,

    Johnny.
