    courteneyfish:

With all due respect sir you have played 2,000 rounds and if your scrambling stats are anything to go by you need to work out a new system.

Nice b.itch slap to another player trying to get help and improve. You got class....KMA.

If anybody would like help and advice you know where to find me. It seems a lot of people just come on here to complain about their bad shots rather than try to improve their game.

It has occurred to me that mixing the 29 and 20 flop is very easily done, as a quick glance to check can be done so hurriedly one can mistake the 9 for a 0, but 75% of 29 would be nearer 20 yards.

Maybe a total false alarm, and apologies to all for wasting your time.

At least some of us had some fun discussing it

I think you're right. You get advice for free from your own friendly club. People that charge for help should be removed from WGT in my opinion.

I am not a flop player myself, and only use it in certain bunker and rough situations. I have question, how close to green could you use flop in say 40-50% rough? And how much roll out would you get on flat green?

Also, how far could you use the flop shot off fairway and have it finish close?

    Thanks

U have seven replays above available, all from different lies and situations.

    Look & learn

Roger  : the reason for posting here if u read my first post was that I thought there was an inconsistency in the Flop shot, that had nothing to do with my skill. I was always getting the distance , but suddenly that seemed to change, so therefore I wanted WGT and its folks to see what I said.

Thanks John, but i need to see how far you hit it, lol. I just would like to know, how close could you use it from rough without leaving it at your feet? I would normally pitch in most situations, but learning new shot would not hurt. Plus, knowing how far the roll out would be key also.

I tend to add a couple of yards for a 15 yard flop from 20%. Maybe 3 yards from 30% and for 40% rough I add 50% to the distance. Rather more than you would for a chip shot. It does of course differ with different balls and clubs.
