    no

US Open will be as it has always been.

UL version, that I am still trying to get through, will be a separate entity. We started with the easier UL courses/settings, this month they are harder. Many players, like myself, love the challenge, so I brought some of them out :)

I'm really glad you put this up and asked the question. I found it very interesting the percentage for and against.

Although I don't play in the Championships (as Switzerland is ineligible for gift prizes and there are no credit prizes), generally all in favor of ULs...

    So, Yes.

I have already posted my answer a few pages back but someone come on here and explain why the cut line after less than 3 days is already at 61.

The Open should be called Top Players Only

WGT has dropped the ball on this one. 2 months of Unlimited play thinking ball sales will increase, Wrong. How many folks are going to waste whatever credits they have to compete knowing they don't stand a chance.

With all respect this year's tournament isn't any different to any of the previous events, it's always been for the top players. The fact that the equipment and balls are even better now than previously, only means that the top players have become even better in terms of scoring. Merion only being a par 70 has a big part in the cut being as low as it is and will get to.

Then why shouldn't it be Tier based with each tier having a chance at it. If you have read here in the forums you have folks from the lower tiers trying to compete and cannot even reach the fairway with their drivers. Is that an incentive to keep trying?
