Many virtual golf programs, such as those found in golf shops, incorporate shot shaping. Adding it is almost trivial, certainly not difficult. One merely introduces an additional face angle, similar to loft.

It is not necessary to implement this by varying stance or ball position relative to feet, or grip. All those things combine to introduce a single variable (as with loft) at the moment of impact.

    Scoton:
Unfortunately, you can only get a tiny fraction of real-world curve using cheap balls. Bubbadork's shot from 05.06.13 is the best fade I've yet seen, and he had only 2 mph wind so it was a real effect. He used a Nike 20XI.

Check out my last saved replay.."GISD draw at BPB"...into the same wind...same line I use with my Nikes, same result...GISD are 137 cr a sleeve.

    Edit:

Did another with the starter ball...same line, same draw...unfortunately I didn't take into account the loss of distance...so should have played further right than normal..this will be the first replay saved.

So in effect, hit correctly with a wood, any ball can be drawn or faded.

Here's a draw-hook on Oly #4 short tees; from tips I hit over the trees on left, but was afraid of trees from this tee. Aimed as shown, ~1/3 backspin, 100% R11S driver, Nike 20XI ball.

    Set-up: with strong L-R wind & L-R down-slope in landing ar

ea, I wanted to be on the edge of hook territory.

And here's a replay of the resultant shot. Note that the initial trajectory appears straight left; in the prevailing wind, a simple pull would arc right. therefore in low/no cross wind, it would have visibly curved left; that left curve is 'canceled' by the L-R wind, with the straight result.gameclient.aspx?view=showReplay&JSON=%257B%2522GUID%2522%253A%25227d6da062 32cf 4c4e 965d a143018867b9%2522%252C%2522Brand%2522%253A%2522%2522%257D

If you watch reverse fairway from Camera 2, you can actually see the ball drawing into the wind initially until it loses speed and the wind pushes it back right a bit as it falls.

Also note that the intentional mishit only cost me ~5% in distance. A mere pittance for being able to manipulate the ball flight.

It really do not work. Shaping just moves direction at best...ball go straight not curved and also when it lands it do not follw shot shaping arc.
