All i seem to get is BAD LUCK at Merion, If its not the meter that halts a round its hitting a flagstick.lol
A few times i've been on a low score which would have been low enough to guarantee qualification, and each time I've been stung by the meter. Score a 58 with a TRIPLE BOGEY! I really like the course, ESPECIALLY THE WEEDS!!! There are a few holes like 5 which are really hard to score birdies, only a small % to land on green, and many of the greens are bobbly and tough, so hopefully 57 might be enough, but best try and get 56 to be safe.lol

angelsgolfing: i,ve said it before i,,l say it again, if you want this to be more relistic & bring more players into the mix play 3 rounds of qualifying best 2 rounds combined count. In all the real majors you see am. collage players & pros on wgt if you ain,t 1 of the horses then ur just a pony watching. It would be fun to see some less players get in & find way to put some good rounds together in championship. But that want ever happen wgt don,t want know middle of the road players just the elite. So the rest of us will just watch & wonder how the hell 56 & 55 are a relestic score if you want to be honest. just 1 players thoughts.
Its WGT's biggest tournament of the year, with big prize on offer, and obviously the elite players are going to win the prize. Which It should be. And as reply to other posts, if you cant make the cut, then you shouldn't be playing the Open Championship. Would the usga let me with my 82 play the US open just to put some good rounds together in a championship??? Come on, Its an elite tournament for the best players on WGT. Make the cut and you can play, but why should wgt let any one play who isn't good enough?
No matter how many rounds you might want to limit the qualifying, the elite will always be posting the low scores so it will make no difference. Players were scoring 55 on the first day of Merion coming out, did you see any master scoring this?? Why are the only ones complaining about the qualifying rounds the players who feel they "might not qualify"?? (on the subject of qualifying, where's my hat from last year?/?)
Striker1953: It would be better if we could play the US Open in our respective levels.
Its an elite tournament WGT's biggest of the year, every one has to play from championship tees, not a pro with a 280 yard driver teeing off from edge of the greens. There's only one prize on offer, a big one at that. Its the VIRTUAL OPEN, replicating OPEN CONDITIONS & TEES, there's no separate prizes for separate levels and tees
If i dont make the cut, It will be my own fault, not the other players who have made the cut so low
