    DarSum:

The course sure seemed to play easier the first few days it opened. Or maybe it's the fact I didn't realize how tough it actually plays.

    Does that even make sense?

Sure does and I think it does change. Small example-the thread showing the wind over 50 restarts had a 4(?)-14 wind range. The last round for me had nothing under 10. Subtle changes keep changing the shots you need to play. The same thing happened last year at Olympic. There's been a couple of maintenance type updates since the release, too.

It could also be the game adapting to you as you improve on the course.

The first few days when it opened i though this course is easier than Oakmont and Olympic, because i shoot 62 in second time and 60 in 10th time attempt, but now over 20 attempt my best still 60 (:. It seem to be tougher green now. I have to rethink, this course is maybe one of hardest courses.

I might be able to do it with levle 81 balls and someone else hitting my approach shots and putts.

some good shootin out there. and I'm with you Hoangvn10 - it seemed easier to me in the beginning as well.

I think it's tougher now (or scores aren't so happy) as I've been trying new spots to land the ball and it's not workin out so well.  Trouble is.,..I can't recall what I was doing before I started trying new things :)

VERY upset here...I know at my level with the equipment available to me I have zero chance of qualifying for the open but what I'm upset about is the fact that every "MAN" that completes a 18 hole try at qualifying gets a spiffy looking avatar just for trying.....I have tried twice now and completed both my rounds ( best 65) ...So WGT why haven't you got a nice avatar for us ladies ...HUH?  HUH?  HUH?...not fair and very prejudice if you ask me..anybody out there know of a good virtual attorney I can contact I think I'll sue WGT for Prejudice LOL...In all seriousness WGT what do we ladies get for trying???????????????????????????????

Bottom line, this course has nine straightforward, gimme birdie holes and then nine which are all moderate-to-difficult (particularly the greens on these holes). Keeping a hot streak going through the whole round is therefore pretty tough to achieve.

I expect you'll see lots of scores between 60-63 in the championship rounds with only a small number scoring in the 50's.

My buddy went to an LPGA tour event in Texas and told me he and only 4 other people were spectators.  Wanna hear a joke?  womens sports........

Totally agree James. The course is not that difficult to make 9/10 birdies in the round but it is tough to make those extra 3/4 and not have a blip in there too. I have had at least half a dozen rounds where I have been -11 through 12 holes and not made much advancement on that total, if at all.
