There's a few threads kicking around, so I thought I'd post one hoping for an official answer to this question........

Why is the Odyssey putter not as slow as it is advertised?

It isn't even as slow as the Nike putter which has the same meter reading, so come on WGT. What's going on?

The thing seems to be getting faster by the day, I was a big fan when I first bought it but I'm beginning to feel like I've just had my pocket picked. It's not as slow as it should be and it's not as slow as when I first purchased it.

Don't get me wrong, I like the putter and it is slower than my 92 ghost, but WGT seems to have pulled the wool over our eyes with this one.

2500 credits is a lot for something that doesn't do what is promised.

False advertising, miss-selling....put it as you like, but have we been robbed on this one?

Its a putter i would love to have, but i posted on another thread that i wouldnt be buying it for this exact reason. And that was before anyone stated it did get faster than when first bought. Come on WGT, we all know what is going on, why keep it up.

I've heard a few complaints along the same lines, l use the level 77 method with no complaints and was thinking about the Odyssey and a possible upgrade, IMO even the level 92 spider's not worth the gamble on that amount of credits.

Atleast Dick Turpin wore a mask!

I rented this putter and loved it. The meter is noticeably slower than the Rossa, but not by much. I'd love to own this putter.

I have noticed the same thing. I bought this putter because I just advanced up to the Legend tier and I need all the help I can with my putting.

It was just the right speed for me and the forgiveness was spot on as I miss most of my dinged putts just by a hair either way. Now when I miss the forgiveness is gone as well.. I would say it is worse than the Daytona now.

Is that what they did with that down time they had earlier this week is lower the spec's on the Odyssey>

Yeah bought it too, but speed with was not any slower than he 66+ ghost i have, so went back to my ghost.  Thought the extra forgiveness would help but it didnt.  Back to making my putts like before with the Ghost.

    100 % agree.

for what it's worth........the image in the pro shop shows the putter having 1/2 the meter speed of the rossa...NOT just a barely recognisable bit slower.

    we got rammed.

confidence in buying anything just went down the drain.

Can we have an official reply please WGT? And isn't it about time that attributes of clubs were given as a percentage instead of a tiny speedo and a series of dots?

Did you try them with starter balls? I don't know exactly how feel interacts with club meter speed, but if it's an addition rather than a multiplication, good balls would produce exactly the effect you describe.
