8802: Yes, they are good. But what gives them the ability to shoot these kinds of scores are overly forgiving "super" clubs and balls. I have access to them too, they are just better at using them. Let's see the scores with starters. Point being that somewhere along the line, the equipment was a little closer to performing realistically. WGT could have "protected par" by stopping there. But that would mean no more money coming in.
While I have no doubt that WGT wants to keep the revenue stream flowing with the introduction of new clubs, I also think they are smart enough to realise that the top players will drift away if they don't. For many there has to be some sense that the game has no 'ceiling' and that there is always the opportunity for bettering your score, no matter how low you already shoot. At a certain point it is only the introduction of new clubs that will do that, and a reduction of realism is the other price we all pay for that.
