Has anyone gone from the lvl 92 ghost putter to the new high level Versa?

I"m setting my sights on doing just that down the road in efforts to help me stop the meter where I'd like to a little easier. I think it will help keep me from missing my intended spot and burning edges so often.  Maybe not.

So, anyone try it and did it suffer the precision loss and make it about the same?

    thanks

    d

never mind, i got the search feature to work.

trouble is, it doesn't sound good reading and seeing that the lower advertised meter speed than the ghost or rossa and others isn't in fact truthful.

    I wonder if that's changed?

i use the spider ghost and will never change

best advice really is to stick with your putter, have a good relationship with it.

it's the tool that is important in low scoring and knowing your putter inside out is very important

find the putter for you and stick with it

I have struggled with my putting a lot and I switched from the Level 92 Ghost Spider first to the Master Max then the level 80 max then to the Versa. The Versa is good and the meter speed as I saw it was much slower than the Rossa. But when I realized that the extra forgiveness and balance of the Versa is a moot point if you hit the ding on the Ghost Spider  and actually the slow meter of the Versa was  a detriment because it is so much slower than all my other clubs I sold it and the level 80 Max and went back to the
Ghost Spider and will never switch again. As some say the precision difference is the difference between a holed putt and a lip out. The Versa would be a good replacement for the Nike but not for the Ghost Spider unless you just can't hit the ding with the faster meter of the Ghost Spider.

    great reply's guys, ty.

sting - yes, I just can't hit the ding, or even miss on purpose where i want to - I'm missing putts like never before and it's just a degenerative skill for me I'm afraid - timing is going.  Had hoped a slower meter might help, but you raise some good points that I may gain in one area and have to learn to adjust to another.  I guess I'd better weigh my odds of reflex improvement or the ability to adjust to a new putter's tendencies while gaining a slower meter.

thank you both, very very much

I have all of the aforementioned putters and will tell you that the meter speed on the Versa isn't enough slower to justify spending the credits on it.  If you are looking for slow meter then the Nike putter is the way to go.  It is a very solid putter with good marks for precision, forgiveness (where the L92 Ghost lacks IMO), etc but you have to be very firm with short putts and there are very few meters to choose from making putter pal almost a necessity.

I've stuck with the Versa. I'm not sure it's worth that many credits and it isn't as slow as indicated but it works well for me. The change over from a Rossa would probably be easier as it has similar increments but you get used to the change from a spider after a few rounds. It's especially good on long putts.

Thanks Courtney - more to consider -  the idea is back on the table lol.........now I just sit here and stare at it scratching my head.  I know I know, it's not all that dramatic of a thing, but replacing an old friend is not an easy decision lol

The Versa has a half dot more of forgiveness and a half dot more of balance over the Ghost Spider. Thanks to YJ, it was a no brainer decision. Get the Versa.
