    How much  improvement  from going from the Rossa to the Versa? Has anybody done this?

    The Versa is like night and day in comparison to the Rossa. The Versa holds the line so much better on longer putts as well as the shorter ones.

    I don't mind the meter speed of the Versa either. Its damn near the same speed as the Rossa which I used for almost three years.

    I'm making more putts since purchasing the Versa.

    This is exactly what that added balance factor does. If you compare the Rossa and the Versa you see the same precision, more forgiveness (which equates to the slower meter) but the biggest change was going from 2 to 3 1/2 dots of balance.

    IMO, WGT was seeing a ton of Rossa users keeping it because it worked so well for them. Better putters came along but Rossa owners never saw a reason to change and their credits stayed put. They made it better in a really key spec-that balance-and a transition from the Rossa to the Versa became virtually seamless. Same scales, slower meter, better performance and you didn't have to change the way you putt. If I wasn't a devout Ghost owner I'd be all over this one.  :-)

    @SteveO

    My father always said to open my ears, not my mouth. I lost track of that sentiment in the past.

    In the end, life is too short to go around making enemies when it's so much easier to make friends. We're going to learn a heck of lot more listening than talking. That's for sure. : )

    Has anyone gone from the lvl 92 ghost putter to the new high level Versa?

    (snip)

    I had been using the Nike 77  forever, but started missing short putts.  I got frustrated and got the upper level Ghost.  Things instantly got better.  Then a couple weeks later out comes the Versa.  So I rented it and liked it enough that I felt it  warranted  more testing and bought it.

    For *me*, the Odyssey has the edge on long putts over 25 foot.  The putters are pretty even on 5 and under.  Also, they are pretty even at 10-25 foot.  But the Ghost has the edge for me at 5-10 foot.  Again, this is *my putting*.

     So, while it's fun to drop that 35 footer, reality is that it's the 5-10 footer more likely to be a factor in consistently dropping my scores.

    So I think for now, I'll be favoring the Ghost.  Well, at least that's how I feel today.....lol.

    For those who are miss the ding putters this putter might not be as good for them as the Rossa. The extra forgiveness and balance makes putts hold the line much better forcing you  to miss the ding by a greater margin. That could cause them problems because as we all know the more you miss the ding  the greater chance there is  of a big deviation. On the greens a big deviation can be a disaster.

    excellent input everyone, thank you!  It's so helpful to hear how these putters effect your personal putting style, where they are a bit better in some areas, and where they slip in others.

    @ richard.......oh billy billy.......that's exactly how I feel!! lol

    thanks again gang!
