Come on WGT just look at the number of rounds Peeble Beach is getting now or maybe I should say lack of rounds, and you should be able to see that another par 3 course regardless of how the holes are chosen is not what your membership wants. If you continue to short change your customers with inferior stop gap courses like best of the hardest and best of the water and best par 3 etc. etc. your going to have people leave. Merion, St. Andrews, Bethpage, Oakmont, St George, Kiawah,Congressional, Olympic. are all great courses and you have done a great job with them. The rest including Cabo and Whistler are junk and shouldn't be here. Like everyone else I would like more courses. But give us Quality courses don't try to appease us with BS. BANDON DUNES IS NOT COMING TO WGT. another cheezy par 3 course is!

I apologize, your right I don't. I was letting my own experiences speak for me. I should have said when a new par 3 is made available I will play it a couple of times and then quit playing it, never to return.

Item of curiosity:  How many of us are astounded by the peripheral beauty of these courses we play here on WGT?  How many of us just see the fairway, green and the little moving dots?  Often I find myself going back to overhead views of different holes just to appreciate the scenery.

    back on Bandon Dunes ........

their website has a blog asking for comments on the wgt par 3 course

    here http://www.bandondunesgolf.com/blog/bandon-dunes-decide-holes-include-wgt-com#comments

    i put up

"why just a 9 hole composite - a full 18 would be vastly superior"

that comment has now been removed by bandon dues

guess they are not interested in a full 18 hole course :)

Just for kicks, I just did pretty much the same thing, o-rag, to see how long it lasts.

That's what they forecasted mate. Wish I could get excited about it, but like so many others..... I can't.

    Same here.

Too often people get so fascinated on what they want next that they forget about what is right there in front of them.
