Dazza...i read through your stats...and they are top flight....I dont understand why a Legend of your stature would resort to this kind of griping? Are u that old guy who sits on his front porch and yells at the neighbrhood kids just because they walked near your property?  I believe in a persons right to speak on any issue...but please...with your stats...come on...give me a break...You maybe a real nice gentleman...and i hope i'm right...but as you know....changes...specially in WGT  do not occur overnight...I'm not trying to start anything...i'm just curious why Dazza thinks a positive is a negative

Well I am shocked at the responses, regardless what WGT do some people are not happy. No wonder the Pizza delivery boy used to get mad when you didn't have the right change.

All Wildcat did was announce we can have our say on what par 3 holes to include on another "best of Par 3's".

No not everyone wants another par 3 course, with the majority (assumption from this threads response) want full length stroke play courses, not a pitch and putt course.

That is where I think the community deserves a road map of where the game is going, i.e. how many full length stroke play courses do they intend to release over the next few years.

As I said earlier, and bearing in mind that we will not be getting the Open Course again this year, where are the plan B's. There are a lot of golf clubs/courses around the world that are struggling, so many of these would probably jump at the chance of getting the exposure that this game could bring. Are these not viable plan B's?

Yes the courses take time from planning to the production but in the case of the Open, this would have been known for a long time that this was a no goer, so where was or is the plan B.

I have said in the past, I feel the lack of new courses released last year was due to the baseball game sucking the money out - so what is the reason this time if we only get one full course this year. I personally think we need more than just one HD full course a year (and not everyone likes or can afford the TruGolf courses).

I will be happy with a Par 3 course so I was not dismissive of the news although I probably will not play it often, and the game has improved astronomically over the last few years, but  please WGT, can you make some sort of commitment to the players.

I am just trying to be objective, and for the record, I was not aware we had a choice of the "Best of Hardest" in the past - obviously I did not read the forums then, my bad.

Great post Alanti, and what i have quoted you on is the problem.^^^^^^^^

Decided to put money in pocket, simple really. And with that you will see many more players leaving the game. It is what it is.

    DAZZA501:
Give me a full 18 Trugolf course over a par 3 pitch and putt any day.

Its a matter of likability at this point. I don't play the Tru-Golf courses because of the cartoonish feel. I like the fact WGT is introducing a new HD course (albeit a par 3 course), with the hope that an 18 hole stroke-play course is to follow.

Stay tuned everyone. Don't trip until we see what's to come. That's all I'm saying.

Be interesting to find out how many votes they get , don't know if anyone's had a look at the links in the "news" section , a sketchy overhead shot of a hole does not really give much idea of what it's like  , so you're kind of voting blind .

You can go to the Bandon Dunes website and see every single hole.

I look at it this way.  Is this what the community wants?  No.  However, it's a course that has been requested numerous times.  And we get to putt on it.  They could have just given us CTTH and been done with it.  However they negotiated (more on that in a bit) and got us the opportunity to pick the holes we want featured to actually play as stroke play.  Is it ideal?  Depends on what you like.  If for all the CTTH courses we had the option to play out our shots (putting), would the community still be complaining...probably.  But at this point, anything new is welcome.  And anything new and HD is very welcome.  And instead of another CTTH we are getting a stroke play option.

Now on to the negotiating.  It's been mentioned plenty of times before the cost to make a full HD stroke play course.  No one really considers the negotiating process to obtain these courses.  The US Open courses, there is apparently some kind of deal in place, although it is not iron clad (as evident with Pebble Beach in 2010).  They still have to come to a deal with the specific course.  The Open Championship courses, I don't believe there was a deal with the R&A.  It was up to negotiating with the course.  I'm sure either the governing bodies of the course either said NO or they wanted an exorbitant price to photograph their course.

And this is probably the same for every course that the community offers as a suggestion as a future course.  Who is to say WGT does not reach out to these courses and either get a NO or we want XXX dollars to feature our course.  We all complain about how much we pay for equipment and golf balls, BUT, if we got all the courses that we want, imagine the cost then.

I've seen complaints about the cost of items in the Elite section.  That's what virtual clubs and ball would cost if WGT is not able to produce a course on their terms.  While it sucks for us members, we have to appreciate what we have at the moment, the best looking golf sim in existence.  I realize WGT has been in Beta since the start, but I enjoy playing the game.  I'm a golfer, not a gamer.  I believe WGT is doing its best to get us new courses, while also not  out-pricing its members.

I apologize for the long read, but.....everyone is entitled to their own opinions.  Not everyone is happy with a new par 3 course, but I appreciate the gesture on the part of WGT.
