LVK vs RLGC Matchplay tourney

  We will start shortly a MP tournament featuring :

   LAS VEGAS KNIGHTS              vs           ROYAL LAVAL GOLF CLUB

   CC owner ---> tuxedo2                          CC owner ---> carolineRobert

                        vs                  

  Here are the details for this event :

  Location ---> Merion full 18 holes

  Mode ---> scored

  Conditions ---> default

  Timer ---> set at 90 secondes

  Time frame to complete the match ---> 2 weeks once we start

  Once the tournament begins , it will be the responsability of players to come here on this thread to post their final result like 3 & 2 or 2 & 1 ...which means (for anyone who doesn't know) 3UP and 2 holes to go. The results will be posted in a chart (speadsheet)  to make it easier for all to see and follow this event.

  Also , it will be the responsability of players to contact each other and agree on the time and date for their match. I suggest you guys send a friend invite to your opponent.  The official list will be up soon. Thx

  ps : the goal of this tourney is to have fun by playing with some nice folks from another CC and maybe add some friends along the way. GL to all and enjoy

  These are the matches for our CC vs. CC match. please post the results here as well as any issues you might have getting you match played. I think this is a great way for everyone to be able to see how the match is going.

  I won 4up 2to play

  I must say I played way above me level but my putting was on form which helped.

  Played my match with goalie (Tom) and I went to school on how to play Merion.  Losing  4 &2 the man never missed a fairway and only one green, he completely out played me.

  Don’t know how I can face my club members ever again, might have to quit the club! OOH wait I “own” the club… Well might have to relinquish my ownership, suicide is another option…Someone in RLCC  gave him advise, something about “Just try to hit fairways and greens” Advise he took very wisely…

  All jokes aside Tom played brilliantly after a 20ft. birdies save on #4 or #5 (don’t remember) when I made a 3 footer for a half!  This was the turning point for him. His confidence was overwhelming and he was relentless for the rest of the round. He played an exceptional round and I was never really in this one. Well done Tom.

  Sledgehammer1961 and Norfolknhope, started off with a tight match. Merion was unkind to Norfolknhope and Sledgehammer1961 took the match. 5 up

  Congrats to both Tom (goaliee) and Mark (sledgehammer) for their win and giving to RLGC a 2 UP lead ...Big woohoo to both of you !

  A win for LVK 2 and 1

  Quickly found myself 3 down after 5 in this game, John was playing some real good golf, but l battled on to go 1 down at the turn. Started to get it going on the back 9 and closed out this match on 17.

  Thank you John for the game and a great match, you was a tough guy to come up against and a good guy to play.

  Played my match with enoskito tonight. He took the lead on the second and held it till the 8th....He then won the next 2 so I went into the home 9  three down!! A fresh bottle of Whyte and Mackay woke me up and I slowly grabbed the holes back. Mathiew played and chatted well and after a disastrous 17th for him he graciously conceded the hole to me and I finished a winner 2  and 1.  Thank you for a fine game.
