Played me match with Quebec Canada had alot of fun, nice guy, at the start he took the first hole, but after that, had trouble with the fairways in the 1st 9 (on and off) my problem was on the greens, but he never gave up, and battled back TA cut me down to 1 up on the 17th, but with some luck in my favor won the 18th, too make it 2 up !

          great game  thanks QUEBEC !!

Scott was one hell of a competitor and we'll have many more good matches in the future as new WGT Friends . . .

Both Tony and i declared our fear of Merion at the outset but between us we birdied 10 of the holes. It was truly a great battle which remained light-hearted and good fun throughout. If Tony wasn't already a member of another club i would be urging him to join hours as he is a good lad.

    Cheers Tony

Got my match in with Debrug (David) today, I gotta say he is a good guy to play a round with and is an excellent putter. He got a 1 up lead on me early but I managed to get it back to even before the turn. I think the turning point in the match was when I got lucky on the 10th hole and holed a shot from about a 100 yards for an eagle.  I would say overall we both played well, I just didn't give any chances at all after the 10th, to get back in the game. The match ended on the 15th.

Just played my match vs TyTyler714. Great fun, fell behind 3holes but clawed back to tie and eventually win 2up. A win for LVKCC.

Fourta and I got our match in tonight. It was a great game but the course took its toll. Both of us missed many birdie putts. I had the advantage on the front -3 up  at the turn - but my worthy opponent dug in and made the clutch shots and took the match: 2 up.

A great game! Thanks Fourta, some day I hope for a rematch :-)

I played gj1948 (Jerry) tonight.  Had a great time with an exceptionally nice guy.  I was lucky enough to hit some decent form, while Jerry struggled with Merion's crazy greens.

Anyway, I managed to win 7 & 6, which didn't really reflect the standard of Jerry's play.  Thanks for the game mate!   Didn't really get much of a chance to say cheerio at the end of the game.

    StreakyPete:

Didn't really get much of a chance to say cheerio at the end of the game.

Pete (StreakyPete)  yes pete, it ended rather suddenly.....had a good time tho and was a pleasure to meet and play against you.  hope we can do some other matches in the future. best of luck in your "real golfing" endeavors.

I played my match tonight with Gonzoleeze, and what a match it was.  I ended up the victory on the first extra hole but that does not quite do justice to the match we had.  I went up 4 buy the turn which surprised the hell out of me since I do not play this course very well.  Needless to say Gary managed to get the match all square by 17 and we ended up going extra holes.  I ended up making a 6' sideways breaker on #1 to seal the match but it was quite a match - really enjoyed it Gary.
