  First of all, I commiserate your health status and wish you all the best for improvement or stabilisation, whatever is possible.

  Nevertheless, I don't like your complaint because it deliberately misses the information that not the game is insane (sorry for the pun) but that your health issues dictate your success and needs.

  Please consider to step back from your ambitions, perhaps -4 would not be a proper goal for you. Dedicated slow clubs may be helpful, combined with reasonably priced balls.

  Include the Starter clubs in such thoughts, as they are relatively slow in combination with custom balls. Then, practice games from forward tees might be more fun to compensate for their low shot characteristics.

  Anyway, hold your head up and have fun!

  Lets take a little look at the balls you use.

  Max slow meter (tour pro) $6.50

  Distance 4 dots

  Spin 2.5 dots

  Feel 5 dots

  Durability 2 dots

   

  Callaway tour I (z) balls (slow meter)$3.00 per sleve

  Distance 2 dots

  Spin 2 dots

  Feel 3.5 dots

  Durability 2.5 dots.

  ^^^^ i think the above would be a good match for you with speed of the meter the issue (slow as it can get) these balls will last a little longer you lose a little distance but not much & can buy twice the amount of balls for the same amount.

  The Cal z's have the same specks as the Max golf balls... aprt from the meter speed and durabillity and heaps cheaper.

  i think your right that my perspective is off, so ive decided to quit whining and rededicate myself and see if i cant knock a couple of strokes off my game. thanks
