Thanks a bunch every one. Really leaning towards the level 76+ CG16s, if there is a substantial improvement over the level 29 CGs. Not much difference looking at their attributes. If the lvl76 CGs had a half a dot more forgiveness they would be my choice without a doubt. I would rather stop my approaches with very little roll. I am going to put off my purchase :( for a little while. I only need 20,000 xp to be lvl 90 and will get the R11 Irons, I don't like my G20s very much.  Any other opinions or advise gladly accepted.   Have a Gr8 day.

The attributes don't really show their full potential in my opinion, approach range improves greatly with varifying between no spin - little bs - little top spin - or full topspin, plus their punch shots are just as deadly, precision and spin wise.

But their biggest improvement over the low level CG's is the short game, Pitching / Flopping / Chipping improves tenfold, now if thats worth the price is another question (depends on the credits available and own taste).

Regarding the Irons, I agree, I rented the G20's and didn't like them at all, I'd recommend the Rocketbladez over them anyday of the week, but since you're only 20k xp from lvl 90, waiting for the R11's is the obvious choice!

As said earlier, maybe we'll get another free rental weekend due the US Open, where you could test the higher CG's, otherwise it depends on the credits you have available, I'd definitely recommend them over the lower ones though, it's a huge improvement once you get used to them.

I have always preferred the 100,75 & 50 distance set up over the 100,80, 60.

I have always felt the 50 yard wedge is a more versatile club than the 60 yard on the shorter distances around the green.

^^^ Can punch and stop them on a dime down to 22 yrds and up to 45 with TS (I generally flop shorter dist's)

They have more spin than you'll need and the 56 is much more accurate than the Cleve I found and forgiving.

If you do go for the higher level clevelands, be warned. The backspin on the 64 degree with a full shot is vicious, it'll even back up the free ball!

learning to play a bit of ts cures that ...

I used the ATVs for a few months, then bought the Clevelands.  Both sets are great in comparison to any lower level wedges.

I went back to the ATVs.  They have plenty of spin to hold pitches and chips, and the spin is much easier to control.  With the Cleves, it seems like the spin increases a lot between 50% (the default) and 75% (midpoint between default and max), and not much at all from 75% to full.  The ATVs are consistent through the range.

Their biggest advantage over the Clevelands is the distances.  There's a better variety of short shots (chips, pitches, and flops) you can make with 90-100% power.

The full and punch shots cover more ground with better distance intervals, too.  The Cleves are 100-84-80-68-60-50, the ATVs 100-83-75-62-50-41.

And as Andy said, punches down into the low 20s are deadly.

Thanks again e1, I went ahead with the clevies 60° & 64° and I am very happy with them so far. Full shots are still a little iffy, but no problems really. Got a 30 on Congressional F9 right out the gate, i think my best on that 1. You guys helped me out tremendously.

In my opinion the ATV's are not even as good as the Z-satins that they replaced. They are just not as consistent as the old Z-Satins were and are way over priced for their effectiveness. I still have 2 of the old Z-Satins that I use at times. I will use the 54 degree 115 yard Z-Satin as my third wedge at times and if I play with 4 wedges I add the 64 degree 50 yard Z-Satin.

Gotta say, your opinion convinced me to go out on a limb and get those ATV's, the way you were just BEASTING every single legend RG, you can't be wrong lol :)

After practicing a little and now playing with them, I love the full and punch shots, very smooth.

Though I'm not sure whats the problem with pitch / flops, they make no sense lol, from Fairway I need to add 2-3yrds for a bs flop... and for 40-50% I only need to add 5-6 and it'll roll 2-4yrds, on the other hand +8yrds on flop in 40-50% from CG's and it rolls 1-2yrds.

Pitches - on CG's add 1-2yrds with backspin, on ATV's take 2-3yrds off with bs and it'll roll some.

Honestly, I didn't get any pitch or chip to stop 'really well', not even from fairway, while I could stop a punch with the ATV from 60-70% rough within 2-3yrds, lol.

Like them, but they are awkward to say the least, prolly gonna take some time but approaching works fine.
