OK here we go forget trees, do they have programmed that all wind is the same on all courses?

In other words is 20 mph wind ,20 mph on every course.

Now here is another question before you answer the first one.

What weighs more a pound of feathers or a pound of sand?

A pound is a pound , no matter the object . Now as for the wind , although the same speed , it will play differently due to course location , and course set up . Now with these variables of trees , tee locations , elevations , and deviations , everything has to be taken into consideration . On WGTs end who knows if they have this program . So best advice is play it like it does , until you see other wise . Hope this helps .Happy Swinging .:-)

There are a lot of crooks operating in the Thai street markets, whereby their scales do not usually reflect what you pay for. In other words a kilo of meat you purchased when taken home and re-weighed will probably be more like 850 - to 900 grams.

Now a neat way to prevent this is to have a litre bottle of water with you, and plonk that on the scales before you buy, it will weigh xactly one kilo.

You might get a bullet in your head , but at least you won't get ripped off.

Now, what was the question again.

No the reason I'm asking and looking for some kind of answer , is  I can use my wind calculation on one course and I am dead on within 3 yards, go another and I am 5 yards short ,then 7 yards long , sometimes as much as 9 yards different.

I was never one to take notes on all the courses, but this driving me fooking nuts. Also this so call circle of forgiveness , or precision my God I have the best clubs , one of the best balls they offer and I swear my circle has to be  a 50  yard diameter. WTF

Yes this all when I ding the shot

You are a TL and probably you know the answer.  I would say though IRL wind shoots off at different angles due to many factor's.  Different courses = different factor's IRL.  As a computer sim this game is very good although of course better generation's will happen.  What will never happen is everything marrying up on each course as that would not reflect the real deal...Basically map each hole not just for green roll and then deal with it, but a good caddie has always has copious notes.......... My honest 2 cents

There is a theory knocking about that until the Virtual US Open is over things may not be quite right.

    I shot a 59 yesterday, but today I can't break par.

A 20 mph wind on RSG is actually different than the same 20 mph wind at Oakmont. So yes. Why? I have no idea, it just is.

Just my guess, but RSG is wide open land, and Oak has trees to block some wind.

But 20mph is still 20mph no matter where you go, it's just, how much of that 20 mph wind is shielded from the trees along the flight of your golf shot,  if not shielded then maybe redirected.

May be wrong, but it helps me get over it.  lol
