    MBaggese:

Show me a hole like that on WGT?

Players history shows (on that day) only SA play...no holes like that at SA..Cabo and wistler have some holes that are severely down hill...but none from the 110 yard range.

When I wrote this, I was a tour master.  I recall a par 3 on Best of Par 3 Holes with 62 feet in elevation drop ... now, mind you, the shot from the blue tees was 230+ yards, not 125.  Now if I was a total fool and hit my high-50's-level Ping 3 wood to cover the distance into a 20 mph headwind, I'd guarantee that my shot would fly over the hole and down the hill, even with full backspin.

Since our Giants' fan's history shows he only played SA, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he played a practice round of best of par 3 holes from the red tees with high winds.  But then I'm going to have an issue with the severe downslope.  Can't recall the slope severity from the red tees!

In any case, I was attempting to find some logic to Giants' Fan's complaint, instead of dragging him through post after post of belittling and hammering!  He is, after all, a sensitive male with Giants' Fan anger issues!

    I hear ya...good on you!

But maybe head over to the search box and take a gander.

As I have mentioned before, I hope he's a NY Giants fan, and not SF:)

I commend daddyskat for being the first and only person in this entire thread to actually think about giantsfan's OP instead of jumping on the bandwagon.

You people that have been around here for a long time act like you own the place and you all know it all, very off-putting for newcomers.

This guy has been offered the absolute best advice by many players here many, many times. Quit feeling sorry for him, he just plain doesn't listen and is happier playing the rant card. Do like MB suggests and have a peek at the posting history of this guy.

If everyone knows this then why do they reply to his threads? If he likes the rant card, everyone replying equally loves the bandwagon card.

It's a vicious cycle the OP perpetrates on a regular basis. It's almost cut and paste in the duplicity. Bandwagon? Well, put ridiculous statements out there, refer to proper putting as something for "candy asses" and so on and so forth and you invite the attention. He can't golf, maybe this is what flips his switch. IDK.

What do you feel would putt off a newcomer more and blatant false statement or a correction to said statement?

Notice he hasn't even come back to fill in any details...my guess he has tried to replicate the shot and cannot...

At  what wind do you ignore with on all shots? Using R-11 irons, Cleveland wedges, or ATV wedges, and the Nike L81 ball ?

Sometimes when I am figuring the wind I will come up short , or long the exact amount I figured for the wind.
