    duffer19:

in all seriousness, i only hit the ding about 5 times per round.  not for lack of trying.

it's hard for me to relate :(

Gees Duffer, I am jealous! Recently 5 dings a round has been a great day. I have had a slump since I started playing, as for the OP, really devastating slump only scoring 27-29's.

As for your putting, you have just moved up to TL so perhaps the green speed has got you a little.

But to start bagging the game is a bit on the laughable side. How many times is it you have had enough and quitting? And you espouse the virtues of PP but there are no guarantees that this will be any better and may well  have many teething problems, and that is on the proviso it does actually finally get up and running.

As much as I would love to see PP get up and running, I have this sinking feeling it is gonna involve lots of $$$$...

    .....for us, the punters

Ya know what J...it'll become a TWO eventually...it'll be made easy enough to score well early, and be good real quick...my bet is minimal learning curve to make the masses happy.

Good for them...WGT (IMO) is just like Real Life Golf, in the sense the first time I played...I had one par (my very first hole...lol) and nothing but double and triples and Quad's +...gamers don't understand that...Gamers expect to master this stuff in two days...IMO WGT has it right.

okay, what were we talking about?

With 1 new strokeplay course per, WGT will not be sustainable with any kind of new competition.

A perfect time for PP to announce their game.

The game has reached it's zenith here, and there's only way to go - down

I don't quite see the game to become boring - for new players. They are facing quite a few courses which are new to them, and when they have learned them all they will be promoted to a new tier and get a new course after a year.

So, this might be seen as just another measure to disencourage the seasoned players in order to give room to new ones, buying clubs, tumbling into those wee credit pits, and receptive for promises and hopes instead of whining for "the good olde days when everything was better!"

And when some players change to PP eventually, it's a win-win: room for new users here, and new users there, buying new clubs, new credit pits, new promises and hopes...

    Where's my tin foil hat?
