3 click meter: The meter is very jumpy so far, but seems to be a nice bit slower on the speed,

+1............Experimental I appreciate but very jumpy. If I clear flash and go back in I am back to the standard meter........Bottom line too jumpy to make it any pleasure. I also don't think it would be a go for me anyway with the current speed, first click, going to my preferred power for putting.  Can't envisage that I would want to be putting on a champ green, down 12, with this set up........My feedback

Definitely understandable.  Putting power will be the toughest part of the game with the 3 click meter.  As said before probably not going to be used by the better players because of that limitation, but it is something the newer and lower leveled players should try using.

WGTdbloshoe can I ask what the thinking is behind the 2 experimental meters?

Is it purely to give players choice? Is it to see which works best? Is it an experiment for something planned further down the line?

The original meter works fine for me as it's simple to operate and involves little to no head movement when keeping track of it on the way down, the vertical meter doesn't suit me I'm afraid. I have played 3 click meters before and was comfortable with them but the older I get the simpler I prefer things.

Would it be possible to give more notice? Half the planet were asleep when you made this thread. Why not just change the name of this site to American Golf Tour?

Courteney, it would be great to have more courses from all over the world and so on, but you can hardly blame WGT for being located in America. They have to be someplace, and it happens that they are in San Francisco. It is always daytime someplace in the world and nighttime someplace else. But if you stick around, the world will turn!

You missed my point. I just asked for more notice. Some people went to bed before this was posted and woke to find the site was closed.

    Tiffer67,

It was purely to give players different options. Some people may find one meter smoother then the others which is an added benefit. There are no plans to change to one specific meter.

    Agree with Courtney.

It will be equal to inform the community one day before this update.
I think she said nothing wrong, I don't think that WGT is informed about an hour before the programmed downtime.

Just a notice one day or two before the downtime, it's sound quite good.

    David.

Been experimenting with the vertical meter and would comment as follows:

Seems to be very smooth and will work for those that like the 'up/down' look as opposed to the 'left/right' look.

HOWEVER, I do not like the way that it does not retain it's position on the screen. Each club has the meter in a different position and, being in the middle, it blocks some of the shot views.

Solution: position the meter on the left side of the screen and keep it there permanently.
