Vertical - a vertical design in the center of the screen that may be easier for newer players

    Hi Shoe,

Good to see the new swing meter option features.

First impressions of the vertical swing meter  - rather like it, although with it sitting mid-screen, the ability to 'drag &drop' it to a better position may be something to consider in this it's 'experimental' stage.

At present it's rather awkward when putting as it blocks the view of the hole when being used.

Being an ole fart I'm now off to try the '3-click' version! :O)

    Cheers,

    Johnny.

Thanks for that info Shoe. Now, i tried out the new meters, and here goes with my opinion on them so far.

3 click meter: The meter is very jumpy so far, but seems to be a nice bit slower on the speed, and i seem to be dinging a lot more with it. The only real trouble i see with this is that the ability to select an exact power has gone out the window with it. Yes, i know that this is the idea with it, but i can get closer with the ability to choose that exact power. It could come in handy for a new type of tourny though, where players have to pick that meter.

Vertical meter: lol, Sorry shoe, but this was a real head melter for me. Early days yet, but i tried a few holes, and i ran back out to change it back over. Its going to take some time to get used to this 1, as you said above.

As i said, early days yet, and i will try them again over and over for a while to see what happens.

There was a lot of discussion on where to put it.  There are definitely some instances where the hole is blocked.  After playing a dozen or so rounds with it the past couple of days you start to not notice it.  Sometimes the one of the two different putting views is better.  Can't wait to here the review of the 3 click!

the level 98 driver has same specs and shaft for 29.95. Only difference is the color.

It seems they are trying to take advantage of the lower level players and those still trying to qualify for the next 3 days.

I know that 3 click when you first start to use it it seems jumpy, but as you found out it is a tad slower and actually is fairly easy to use.  The better players who want exact power probably will stick with either the vertical or the old meter.  The three click really is going to be most widely used by the newer players or ones who just find it easier to click then drag and click.

Give the vertical a couple of rounds it grows on you.  It takes some time to get used to the visual of it since you are so used to having to look down to know when to click.  I found the vertical was easier for me to ding compared to the other two.  But that's just me.

Country club improvements - Merion full course and CTTH now available, Single Round CTTH tournaments, Tiered tournaments.  Players have been asking for these upgrades and they are finally here.

I was starting to update my active tournaments with the Merion Golf Club and while I open the round "conditions" I see another update, the chance to choose to get the match withe even or uneven lies.

That's great and that will be an awesome upgrade for country club owners.

    Appreciate that, really.

BTW, loving the new tier options in the CC games area. This will come in real handy for tournaments, and is long overdue, lol. Thanks for getting us Merion in there too, this will no doubt stir up the league games for us as well. Happy days.

+1............Experimental I appreciate but very jumpy. If I clear flash and go back in I am back to the standard meter........Bottom line too jumpy to make it any pleasure. I also don't think it would be a go for me anyway with the current speed, first click, going to my preferred power for putting.  Can't envisage that I would want to be putting on a champ green, down 12, with this set up........My feedback

Would it be possible to give more notice? Half the planet were asleep when you made this thread. Why not just change the name of this site to American Golf Tour?

Courteney, it would be great to have more courses from all over the world and so on, but you can hardly blame WGT for being located in America. They have to be someplace, and it happens that they are in San Francisco. It is always daytime someplace in the world and nighttime someplace else. But if you stick around, the world will turn!
