Having started The Oddball Country Club just a month ago I am so delighted that we have already grown to the size we have. We have attracted some very good players but we have also taken in some lower tiered players which, to me, is much more important.
I came up through the ranks and was lucky to meet some very nice people who helped me progress. I would like to put some of that back and really enjoy seeing our lower tiered members coming up. In the club we have a handicap system which means that the lower tiered players still have a very good chance of winning our internal tournaments. As one player said: Thanks, first time I ever won anything!
We welcome players from Amateur upwards - I am aware that we have a lot of (for a club of our size) legends but we are there to help lower tiered players to progress.
