Bolloxinbruges is playing the real Kiawah this weekend and he sent a video and a few pictures.

This is #17, I think pin is where the new one is at. Notice he aimed about 20-35 yards right. He said it was 25-30 cross wind there.

This is hole #8, notice how much more pronounced that slope from the is.. Crazy!

That's his ball I think or his brothers maybe. One more foot closer and it would have been by the hole

Holy cow!, it's blowing like Saint Andrews on there. I guess we are one lucky bunch of players here when we have tournaments on Kiawah without any winds...LOL

    Keep the videos coming Bolloxinbruges!

My favorite course; right on the beach!

I couldn't get the video to slow down, but based on his feet, he was aiming a bit left.  At the top, his club face is a bit open.  Is the open stance used to adjust for the open club face at impact?  Does he have the dreaded slice with his driver and long irons?

Might want to send this video in to The Golf Fix and have Michael Breed analyse his swing with his equipment.  I can't get a good fix on club positions through the swing with dropbox.com.  It would be nice to see the clubface at impact and be able to check the head through the swing (how much does it move vertically on the backswing).  It appears he is keeping good spine angle through the swing and has really good foot work.

Did he clear the water and make the green?  Just curious.

He has pretty good form.  Just a few tweaks and he'll be scratch in no time!

Based on Sams shirt and the weeds a front of him, appears to be a heavy (like Icon said) Right to left wind....appears to me he is set up aiming right of the hole ...difficult to see (for me) the club face...but if open, then was surely to hold the wind.

I played there years ago when the course was fairly new, the greens were tough to read, often with a couple of breaks in a putt. Conditions were pretty calm, so Icon.......please not heavy winds every round :)

I was there a few years back, but I baulked at the $150 green fee.

Icon, how about the sound of the wind there? Aren't we missing this on WGT?

If you recall the PGA last year, the wind was howling and the players' trousers were snapping in the wind. Seems that the range of windspeeds for Kiawah on WGT could be upgraded to something similar to the other seaside courses, i.e. St. A's and St. G's.

How on earth did that hit the green, feet were aimed in middle of lake and club face open and body lean to left after contact tells you it went way right in lake, but maybe the gale blew back onto the green.
