OK I'm gonna hijack this a little rather than start a new RG thread.
I don't have a gripe about RG's being "rigged", I do think the VEM is cranked up a little for RG's, but it's cranked up for everyone and the best players deal with it better.
My problem is with the 12hr time frame for each one.
I'm not good enough to compete in most of 'em and break even, so I pick and choose when the ones I know I can do OK in turn up every now and then, and I can actually make a few credits.......Take the recent BPB 50c back 9 that has just been taken off, I played that as often as I could and won a couple and also made some credits in a few more.
The problem is this:-
Quote:
"Play this 50-person, 9-hole stroke play tournament on St Andrews. Purse is paid out to the top 30 players. A new Ready-Go tournament begins once fifty people enter! Please check tournament rules for country and state restrictions."
Now the statement in bold is true.......BUT......What it fails to mention is that it only opens another RG with the same set up for anyone who didn't just enter the one it's advertising!
Not only do you have to wait for 50 people to enter, you also have to wait until they ALL post a score, and then wait some more until the scores are verified and registered, and then wait even more until everyone gets their credits. So unless everyone gets done asap and it's all verified and sorted within 12hrs, you will probably only play one RG per day.
Now from WGT's business perspective, I think this is costing 'em $$. Because if I was allowed to go straight into another same RG as soon as I had posted my score, I would be playing 'em as often as I could, and I don't think I'd be alone in that.
Any views on this WGT??
