Tournament: Country Club vs. Country Club who is the best?

  Can't help but agree with Nikic and Simo.....

  Skype CC are withdrawing their teams from this Comp.

  I have to say, I would have expected a tournament run by WGT staff to be run with a little more diligence than this one has been!

  Only 2 of your 4 players played or didn't send in score cards.  I am sorry you feel that it is not being run correctly but if your players didn't play can't blame me for that one.

  so now it's time for the second round of the Country Club tournament.  This is going to be a little different then anything done so far.  Hope everyone enjoys.

  The second round Best ball.  Best hole score from each player will be counted winning team determined from lowest score.  Tie breaker will start at lowest score at 9th hole and work back .  Each player will play a stroke play practice round with the corresponding opponent from the other team.  The score card will be posted by the player with the lowest score in the twosome.  Once the score cards are posted or emailed in I will tally up the scores and the winner will be determined. 

  Now for the twist, players can not have any wedges in their bag other then the PW.  You can add an extra driver, hybrid, or wood to your bag just no wedges.  This should give everyone a nice test of their shot making ability.

  I am posting the matchups and will post the course and conditions tomorrow morning and matches can start there after.  Any questions please feel free to ask.

  Hi Shoe, this sounds fun no wedges, I assume this will be with our normal clubs of choice and ball?

   

  If so, any chance of a free rental or two from the proshop to fill the gaps? ;)

  The only thing i can suggest is wrong with the tournament is the time frame the matches are expected to be done in. Starting on a Monday and ending friday is not long enough. There needs to be a weekend in there to help with timezone differences.

  We can hardly blame Shoe, for us the players and owners for not organising the matches to be played.

  I was hoping to not have this thing drag out to long, but after seeing how many players came back with scores Sunday and Monday I will take that into consideration going forward and make sure full weekends are there to get matches done.

  Ok I know you can probably see my bank balance but still, if you don’t ask you don’t get. But tell me is there any chance of a 20% discount on a shiny new hybrid, I promise I will pay the rest in instalments over the next 20 years?

  Thank you Shoe for setting up this tournament even if I have to agree that the 1st week was pretty rough. Let's say that Wes and I had a lot of fun to bring back wooden sticks in the bag ;)

  That said, I regret 2 things. 1st is that I picked the wrong club for my last shot against Nik which cost me to sink my ball in the water instead of landing on the green that would give us the match with the 9 straight green shots bonus...my bad Wes, you know how idiot I am sometimes.

  But we posted all matches included the 3rd score, so we're probably not the best crew in the game but were pretty average on this format.

  I regret that all the cc represented can't play in different formats you will set up in this tournament, only way to know if finally you're the best or not (on a said time) Maybe you could set up the tourney the way you're doing right now but keep all the cc engaged.

  I wish everybody a great fun in this tournament, thanks again Shoe.
