World Golf Tour is an online program where you can play virtual golf rounds. It touts itself as being "free" for anyone who joins as a member. What they don't tell you is that in order to actually enjoy the game (hit a ball 200+ yards with a driver) you need to buy better clubs. The best part about this CRAP site and its employees is that the clubs and balls you buy with money, depreciate over time. You buy a driver for $8 they will buy it back for $2 almost immediately. The best part is that it doesn't even improve the gameplay. The moderators on the forum are absolute MORONS and will cherry pick and delete posts that don't show the company in a good light. Suggestions are grounds for deletion of your account. Essentially, this scam site is still a "beta" and has been for two years. Basically, allowing them to say that the game is seriously flawed but oh well it's a beta. They essentially deny all liability, have a NO RETURNS policy, and offer you a garbage product. Yet they are charging money for people to buy golf balls that need to be replaced every other round...This place is a joke and you should just stay away from it and its inbred employees That is just ONE of HUNDREDS of reviews about this site...use it for what it is ...a place to waste time til something better comes along....*laughs*

If you don't like the game, nothing is holding you back from just not playing. Although the game is not perfect, it is by far the best game online at the moment. If you are smart about it you won't pay much at all for the equipment, balls etc. When I first started I did the free promotional things to earn credits. Not the survey's but if you search around a bit you'll find deals where you get a free 4 week trial of something and get 500 to 4 k free credits. I haven't spent more than 20 dollars since joining this site 3 years ago. And once you get good enough and win through rg's mpcs you'll never have to worry about spending another dime.
This game is much better than Tiger Woods series imo because they charge 60 bucks every year for minimal improvements and will shut down the online part of the game after a couple years. That and it's way too easy. Although this game is getting pretty easy now, you won't see 45's from the black tee's
