    stevenharkin:
Best scenario for the the good of game is to bring back gift card's ( or something half decent ), and bring back HS RG's

Yes, best idea yet.  Why even take them away???  Maybe WGT realized there's a few players on the verge of cashing in so they take them away.  (giving the excuse "they weren't that popular") Maybe last year not many players had enough to buy them, but i bet by now there would be much more demand for them.

    stevenharkin:
Well I believe it is too stop players gaining too many credits, as if and when they do, they sell them for half the price WGT sells them for.

I've been lumbered with credits now  for months/years, didn't know players were doing this...i'm a bit slow..lol.  (sounds like a better return than the gift cards!!)

dont want to spend $180 on a Nike t'shirt i could buy for $30 but a $250 or $500 i would not mind sacrificing my credits for because i could spend the gift card on what ever i wanted and I would feel rewarded for the hours played and balls spent.

Gift cards are not coming back. Was quite a few players who played only MPC that were cashing in for cards pretty regular. That is not going to happen anymore. WGT is not in the business to be handing out money, lol.

So they sell them now on black market, unless you like the elite collection. hehe. Also like said already have plenty credit heavy players so taking HS RG's away sounds just like WGT.  No?

IMO there are numerous ways to prevent such cashing in:

    - one, as I understand already implemented, that with playing MPCs and winning credits people tier up more rapidly

    - MPC statistics are already available, though I think it would be better if they could separate money and non-money matches and for money matches show weighed statistics (i.e. the higher stakes the more the match counts, e.g. if one wins one 900 credit game and loses a 100 credit one, the win rate would be 90%, not 50%)

I know nothing about the black market, but if you say it exists, it probably does... Again, I think there could be many quite obvious solutions:

    - return a variety of decent prizes (well beyond 4 simple types of gear), even if not gift cards, which can be used without limitation.

    - the bigger the prize the better exchange rate would apply, e.g. if a prize worth 30$ (shirt) cost 18000 credits, a prize worth 300$ cost 90000 credits and one worth 1000$ 200000 credits. This would strongly discourage, perhaps even eliminate the black market, because I suppose people get involved into it if they have really LOTS of spare credits (not only some, as myself...) This would also motivate folks to keep on playing, knowing that with more earning the exchange rate improves.

    - furthermore to ensure that much fewer people are able to gain so many credits that could be used for really big prizes with good exchange rate than now, one should add more randomness to the game (I already suggested ideas for this several times, like variable wind, occasionally awful shots, lower precision), as a result of which more people would be able to win and gain *some* credits (perhaps for a cap), but fewer would win all the time and be able to gain a lot.

How's that going to work.?? At present many believe shots, ready go's are manipulated this is going to open the flood gates and turn the game from a touch of skill to a lottery.  How would that be fair on say a player who's landing perfect all round and scoring well to suddenly get 4 wtf shots to spoil his round just to let a player who has not played so well but gets to beat him/her by a shot to win tournament due to the 4 birdie able holes he/she gets lower precision/a awful shot?? I can see the forum posts from here....:)

Well I'm pretty certain that it rarely happens now. but when GC's stopped, then alot of high end players decided to flog off there cred's and I believe a couple of players got suspended for it.

I think WGT took away the HS's as they are slightly worried that players will rebild there account quite quickly if the HS's were re-introduced and then re-sell the cred's as there is nothing decent to purchase in shop.

Just what i think, maybe I'm totally wrong :)

Lol, its a lottery now, and least for me it is.

Cards like i said are not coming back, some of these players were making on average 50,000 credits a week playing MPC, lol. That is a few credits in a week....you think? lol.

I can't see anything changing in the ready go department,, maybe 25 credit ready goes coming, hehe. WGT is not giving nothing, not that i can see anytime soon.

And selling credits is still going on......just keeping that on the low low, not opening mouth seems to be the ticket....lol.

No, I don't mean anything that extreme. Only when somebody misses a ding, especially if miss a ding badly, the shot should be accordingly bad. E.g. flop shots could also be adjusted in this way, because in reality flop is a risky shot, which if made badly can go twice or even more the intended distance, whereas here I never need to use pitch shots, as flops are very accurate and with zero risk...

Variable wind would work the same for everybody. Just it would become very hard to land the ball regularly within 5 or 6 feet, as is the case here at WGT but not IRL...

Well, if a competitor is coming (as it seemingly is), they will have to step up pretty soon.

Unless they want to make it totally uninteresting to top players and lose them eventually to the competitor game...

Totally understand Gedi83, and i agree with you 100%. But man....seems they are doing nothing. Don't know what gives?

Also, the situation with ball prices is very silly. I don't see why it wouldn't be better to cut ball prices at least 5 times and instead introduce green fees for all premium tournaments, ideally through increased rake, e.g. from 20% to 30% or so...

Now fear of losing ball encourages playing safe instead of taking risks, also unlimited play tourneys become very unattractive as a result...
