Persistent Erratic Meter

  I started WGT last week and think it is a great layout and top notch courses. The thing that is really frustrating and is beginning to put me off the game though, is, that sticky meter that eternally speeds up and slows down ( sometimes even stops midway and then starts again when you have totaly missed the ball altogether ) and is never consistent ( 1 in 10, maybe, 1 in 20 trys it is ). There is no fluid movement on it in order to hit your shot accurately.
  
  I read the advice on the tech problems page, and have totaly cleaned my PC, Defragged the registry and the whole C drive. I have super antispyware cleaning my cookies etc and to top it off, I have only used 20 gigabytes out  of 160 on my C Drive. I dont know what is causing the lag or erratic movements.
  
  Its a great game but this is really wasting things. Does anyone on the game have any other solutions or ideas I could try to remedy the problem. Any ideas would be welcomed, and would be hugely grateful ( infact you can have my starter plus clubs the meter is even worse with them..hahaha ).

  make sure your ad-blocker is turned off and pop-up blocker off.I use google chrome browser with very good results so far, there will be times I have meter lag but 95% good here, try different browsers and lots of practice and welcome to WGT.

  I recently went to Firefox because of a chat problem in MP games. The meter ill glitch now and then but seems to be better than it was on chrome. the starter plus are better than default so you might wanna keep using them when you get your meter straightened out.

  Hello hyena64.  Thank you for answering me and forwarding me some advice.
  
  I agree with you about the Google Chrome. I find it much faster than Internet Explorer and more fluid, but I have already got Chrome installed, and as far as I know the flash version is automatically installed by Chrome, which I think is Adobe Flash's latest version because I update Chrome regularly, ( I might be wrong though ....would'nt be the first time ).
  
  I will look into it in more detail later on today and check out Maxthon Browser aswell.

  I have Google Chrome aswell, and I agree it is the best browser I have used so far, however, there is so many out there. I will try what you said about the ad blocker and Pop up blocker and get back to you later with the results. I am also going to look into the Maxthon Browser if there is no change after the Ad blocker or Pop up blocker is turned off.

  Hello DRogers5864, Thank you for your feedback mate.
  
  I am going to look into a few things later on and browsers will be one of them. So far I have been told Maxthon is a good browser and now Firefox. This is great, because I had exhausted my avenues to check out, and was at a brick wall..hahaha, but now I have a few more ideas to try. 
  
  The first thing I am going to try though, is, turning off the add blocker and Pop up blocker, before I do anything else ( I always do the simple things first ) to see if there is a change, then on to the Browsers.
  
  Once again mate, I thank you, and all the other guys who have answered me, for your time and your help. in order for me to get the best out of this game. I really do like this game and hopefully these tips will remedy the meter problem.
  
  By the way Guys, Thanks for all the welcomes aswell, all the best to you all.
  
  PS. DRogers5864 are you having a laugh about those starter plus clubs. You have to be,...............c'mon man..................only joking mate..I will try them again once the meter is more fluid.

  best set up i have is comodo dragon with add blocker on. but when i play i play on full screen the graphics suffer a bit but meeter is a lot better.

  Not sure if this will help you out S1XTOS, but i use an old version of Flash on Firefox. The version is 10.3.183.75. This works fairly well for me, and is probably worth a try if you use firefox.
