    Fraenkel:
Could be possible became TL in less then 8 months?

OK think I have it as not in sync with the rest of the thread I think? (am sure I think). Anyway deserves an answer IMO so:

    Why would it not be?

TL is based on average score with a 500 min RR from Legend (exc. any Bof3/5 from the mix).

I managed to create more spare time than usual for a while, so amused me to sandbag my way (lol) from Hack to TL in about that time. Now of course being a "top player" does not go in hand with that, for me at any rate lol, and that's not taking anything way from TL.

Sorry Jim, I may have been too brief.

The question is easy because it refers to players who use programs to cheat in this thread we talk about cheaters so it seemed natural to ask this question, indirectly.

    Sorry for the misunderstanding.

No problem and agree the question looked easy, just never saw it as natural anything here, bearing in mind it's a time on course thing. I wanted to make sure not cross threads with you.  Anyway you see it different did have the question and that's what the forum's are for.

For clarity, now were on same page for sure, certainly no packet anything essential to shoot 500 RRs of 30 (or under when can) in 6 or so months.  8 months (allowing a couple months to get to to get to Legend from memory and a fair few duff 72s early on as Legend) is simply heaps of time potentially.............Thought I could help on this one as that's about what I took to sandbag to TL:)  Now if some one wanted to be thrifty they could play more practise rounds than me, hang around in each tier longer, sport a better average in Legend (some care), and maybe win a few more something's in each tier. This is really just for fun for me and happy the way I enjoy it - I am digressing...

    Just a quest.

I think it's easily possible to get to TL in much less than 8 months actually .. IMO

I got to Legend in 10 weeks and 188 ranked rounds around late June last year .. that's before MP was factored into tiering people up; so I guess the "old fashioned way" .. and I got accused of cheating as result of that as well .. pfft ..  I was pretty surprised at the accusations since I was oblivious of the fact that it was supposed to be "very fast" for reaching L .. at the time anyway .. big hoo-ha over nothing with apologies extended by the end of it .. but it seriously pizzed me off that accusations could be flung around so casually without any grounds or basis ..

if you look at my play history I've dramatically reduced my ranked rounds to perhaps 3 - 4 rounds per week and prefer playing a/s .. plus I took a 4 + month hiatus from Jan to Jun this year. If I played as frantically as I used to during my initial 4-5 months I would have already had 688 ranked rounds and TL status some time ago .. but I honestly don't care about tiering up anymore .. i'm happy at L, playing few ranked rounds & a/s with the fellas

    .. but yeah, very possible

    Agreed Chris..

Took me 10 months and I couldn't putt / flop or get the meter right for the first 3 months.....[Tx Yj, Mantis, Shrude et al ;-) ]

So if someone gets on to the Forums quickly and gets all the info on optimizing computer for WGT, a putting formula, how to flop / pitch etc etc etc...

Then 6 months shouldn't be out of the question.

Thanks to Jim and Chris, mine was just a quest.

Never think it was so easy became TL but maybe I'm the one who need some putt tips.

    Cheers,
    David.

Hey, you got something right at last....though there are other glaring problems too.

    Thank You Andy.

I feel fine with what I did 'till now here in WGT. I played as good as my chances so mine was only a question, nothing to suggest it as a pretext to judge. I'm here only to join what I like as in the real life so, who cares.

The point was I didn't think it was so "dismissive" to reach high level in WGT.

    Ciao,
    David.

Oh this is a very interesting topic that has always been controversial. Can we cheat in this game? I would first like to know how, if possible, do it. lol. Like everyone else, starting my computer and opening the WGT website, I discover all the time this famous money list with numbers that change every minute lol.  I say to myself:  wow!! these guys are really good!!  I dont know how they do it lol. Thinking about cheating, no, can they really cheating? How people in their homes can distort the system established by the great engineers working for WGT? Everything is possible today. After playing over 3000 matchplay challenges, I came to the conclusion that the real problem of this game is to stop the meter where you want exactly. All the top players (I'm unfortunately not lol) know that a birdie or eagle depends on a good iron or drive shot. then we must learn to stop the meter. I did really well most of the time, that has allowed me to win many matches. Sometimes it doesnt just work as desired, in which case, yr opponent is suspected of being a cheater; what I was sometimes tempted to say. lol. Anyway, I continue to play my game without thinking about that.
