Everyone could have the same equipment but make them all play from the same tees and with the same green speeds and other conditions that masters have to deal with. THEN it will be a fair game and the cream will once again rise to the top.

If a Hack, Amateur, or Pro can handle the Master clubs his average should drop like a rock, no?  They will advance tiers quickly enough and move to the "proper tees" and then no problem.  If they can't handle Master clubs low forgiveness and higher meter speed there is no problem with a Master competing with the lower tier player who can't find a fairway or green.

The only valid issue we Masters have is a lower tier sandbagger who has master skills off of Pro/Am/Hack tees.  Sandbagging is a different issue that WGT needs to address in a different way.  Until that solution is implemented, all we need to do is choose our matches wisely, and report suspicious averages to members@worldgolftour.com.

What is it with the entitlement mentality in this country these days? I can't hit a golf ball like Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson and I never will. But that doesn't mean that the PGA ought to move them back 100 yards at the tee box and set the courses up to a lower standard to make it  "fairer" for me.

It's the "Everybody gets a participatory ribbon" crowd... god forbid that our kids grow up where they're taught how to win AND LOSE graciously.

Society today makes me sick.  We can't have kids "losing" because it will damage their psyche... . bullcrap.

Someone has to teach the kids today that they will not always win.... and, as a matter of fact, they will lose MANY more times than they will win.  When they lose, be gracious and congratulate the winner on a well played game... when they win, be gracious and congratulate the loser on a well played game.

When they lose it simply means that they need to try harder, train harder, work harder until they can be victorious in whatever endeavor they choose.

All this 'touchy-feely' crap in society today is just flat out sickening.  THIS, ladies and germs, is where the entitlement crap comes from....

    /soap-box....

It doesn't matter if you win or lose ....

    Until you lose !!!!

    27 Aug 2010

The site will be down for approximately one hour tonight, Aug 27, starting at 11PM Pacific Time. We are fixing a few bugs and performing routine system maintenance. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Is this the big update then..?

WGT has considered that I have developed skills enough to be moved to the masters level,,,I've invested in $$$ clubs,,,yet I beginners dropping balls to the pin inside mind on a regular basis,,,so much so,,,that I'm out of the game w/these so called newcomers by the 6th. 7th. hole,,,so where have my skills gone,,,what advantage do the $$$ clubs have over the free ones,,,and why would I want to keep playing a game,,,where my skills go backwards,,,and invested money shows no rewards...How does this happen?

Which part of "We are fixing a few bugs and performing routine system maintenance" is that hard to understand?

Besides, it's 11:24 Pacific and they are already done.

    Sorry guys.
