    griffygriff:
There is no mention of golf balls.

When they put the GI-SD balls on sale, I took this to mean they will not be available again until players work through some levels, so personally I stocked up.

i agree with BolloxInBruges i may not be master but i play a longer tee than amatuers and i can outdrive them but if they can get the same clubs and we are in a credit match then it just makes it unfair because they could be using the same or better clubs and out hitting me by 20 or 30 yards all the time

i think all clubs should be sorted into the tiers with  hack clubs being a shorter average and master clubs being a longer average of distance.

Pillsy...really great idea there. Id love that!

Also your 60 degree wedge flops stop better as well as the 54 floppers.

Man this could go on forever, but I like this newer line of thought.

exactly.  i'm about a 20 handicapper in real life.  on approach shots, i can get enough spin on my shots to keep the ball on the green, maybe make it stick and roll within 3-5 feet, but i can't get my ball to draw back.  seems like WGT might make something like that more available to players once they hit the "master' level.  or at least increase the ability to do that as players move up through the ranks

Like this  (replay "draw for eagle" on my profile)

90 yard Satin wedge full swing, full back spin, Tour-SD ball

Its called volume.  You get more people playing and charge them less.  Its what has made Walmart  what it is.

Having 4 playable courses, costly temporary equipment, bugs, no advertising, and lack of options does not make for LOTS OF PLAYERS.   Less players equal less profits, even if you rape the few customers you have.  Fix these issues and get more customers.

    no advertising

It exists, just not to the extent it really should.  The pro shop clubs for example, endorse Ping and Taylormade.  And there's the occasional in game and on site ad.  Not to mention offers.  But you're right in saying they should use their advertising space a little more...

The other things you said... they'll get there with the courses, when i joined they only had 45 holes.  The clubs are one off buys and the balls are optional and nessercary for WGT to keep the income coming.  Bugs are why this is still a BETA... and we have ctth, stroke play and match play, why the few options?

My 2 cents as a master who worked his way up and isnt here for the credits and doesnt play in tournys or MPC's...

I absolutely love this idea due to the fact I have recently become a little bored with the game in general. I'm not great or anything but once you hit master what do you do from there? with the new changes it improves player interaction, those of us who dont quit for rank will also have new features to use, and even if only for a short time there will be a life back in the game....

For those of you who play for credits and are worried about the sandbagging issue... Someone has already posted the solution and an EASY one at that (sorry for not crediting the exact person cant find the post at the moment)...

MAKE EVERY RANKED ROUND HAVE TO BE FINISHED.... end of story... solves every problem people currently have. just completely take out the link to "end round" and only leave the "save and quit" feature.. I honestly dont see why people were allowed to just leave a round in the middle of it anyways without having to post the score...

WGT wants this to be realistic.. well next time I see Tiger Woods hit a tee shot into the rough and then say "ok start over I didnt like that one" I'll be sure to let you know...

This cuts both ways - cherrypicking and sandbagging. People who want to advance, or show off a nice average, will not post a high score. If I'm in an endless play tourney and am trying to improve on a decent score I've already posted, if my round goes to hell I might just treat it as practice from then on and not post the score.

Cherrypickers don't really hurt anyone else, unless maybe they think a high score will intimidate players in match-ups.

Sandbaggers, on the other hand, deliberately post high scores to stay in a lower tier. They concentrate their good scoring on match play with suckers because match play does not yield a numerical average.
