    (Can't say I didn't warn 'em !)

I went to play some golf today all up on Dub-G-T

A'thinkin' maybe just fer once they'd let the damn game be

But noooo ! Reset your options, boy, yer "Putter Pal " an' "Shot"

'cuz "Options / save" it just don't work, an' we couldn't give a squat !

We're Dub-G-T,we know what's best, we won't be asking you

Just send those bucks in like the rest an' keep your mouth shut too.

We'll give you stuff you do not want and "Leadbetters" for free

And VEM you all the way to hell, that's how it's gonna be

We've rigged this game to limit scores out of necessity

How else could we make tons of bucks and stlll call this game "free" ?

    YankeeJim:
This doesn't have to happen. It sounds like your browser is set to clear stuff when you exit and cookies shouldn't be-that's where your choices are saved. Cookies are totally harmless.

These settings are not stored in cookies, they are in the Flash cache.

Not exactly so. Log in info is in a cookie.  If that wasn't  the case then every time the cache was cleared the log in info would change.  This doesn't happen because that log in info is kept in a cookie. You're right about the actual game settings.

    Hyena has it right.  :-)

Just to shed a bit of light in the cookie world; Local shared objects (LSO's) are commonly called flash cookies, hence the possible confusion between the two.

I agree the login details are stored  in a HTTPS cookie and the game settings stored in LSO.
