Just had a look at your website - very nice - however the chat is very Les Dawson.....

Wish you well but doubt you'll be getting the ladies flocking to your door.

    Thanks for looking in Sara,

I'm puzzled as to how you conclude that our club won't have the 'ladies' flocking to our door?

A couple of 'off the cuff comments' about WGT profile pictures being replaced by club logos hardly represents a fair assumption or assessment of Southern.

One member joked about his new club logo being better than his mugshot and I myself joked that my 'Mrs' made mine look good.(which she undoubtedly did)

You may draw your own conclusions but please don't derail a recruitment thread and possibly deter members from joining what is a very new club.

It is hard enough to recruit genuine active members without people who are already in firmly established Country Clubs such as yours 'English Lakes Country Club' (a conspiracy theorist might conclude that was your sole purpose for your post being a competing country club based in a similar location)

A great deal of my time, money and effort has gone into creating this club so please, if you have a complaint or have a negative view I would kindly request you pm me rather than spout your own personal views in a recruitment thread.

    warmest regards

    Tal

Glad to see you have the ability to edit your chat box, nothing remotely sexist on there now.

    Best wishes Sara

    Hi again Sara,

the comments which you found sexist have been removed as you clearly found them incredibly offensive and needed to publicise how offended you were by them.  The matter has now been dealt with by their removal.

Thanks for giving Southern England Links some much needed exposure :), negative though it was, I guess the saying goes there's no such thing as 'bad' publicity.

If anyone has any concerns or requires detailed information about the comments Sara was offended by I would be happy to share the shoutbox contents in PRIVATE message and you can judge for yourself if the comments warranted such an unfair derailment of our recruitment thread :)

Southern are always looking for active members to fill its fledgling roster.

    Right Tal,

You invite people to have a look at your new club and the first piece of negative feedback you get you get rather personal and defensive.

I do like the look of what you have done, I was trying to be constructive and having removed the comments upon reflection you must have agreed.

Once again I wish you all the best on your venture.

btw   I don't spout off, and congrats on making Legend.

    Sara

This is a recruitment thread, yes I invite people to come and take a look at the clubs website at what we have done so far, It isn't a thread for people to come and make judgements or pass comment on who will or will not be 'flocking' to the club.

If you or anyone else had a negative experience, or felt offended, I would rather have had a personal message expressing their concerns and not completely derail a recruitment thread.  There is nothing constructive at all with saying

'I doubt you'll have the ladies flocking to your club'

With your negative comments, opinions are quickly formed and that is what I find disappointing.  this last page has been a complete derailment of what was a good recruitment thread  That is why I feel obligated to defend the clubs name.

Yes the comments were removed as you found them offensive, in my opinion they weren't offensive but that is my opinion, the mere fact that you were offended by them warranted their deletion from our publicly viewable shout box.

Respectfully, I would request that any further comments on this subject be taken to PM as I feel that this thread has been derailed enough.

Thx for the congrats on me making Legend.

    Tal
