  A warning to all you ready go enthusiasts.  Send some one a gift with the entrance fee you were going to waste instead, at least you wont feel "RIPPED OFF!"  i've played plenty of score limitation "manipulated" ready go's but todays Merion was on a new level.  Seems WGT have been busy again, or the new pins at Merion all have the yardages way off (wasn't like that last time i tried them though.lol)

  I think we've heard this before, -7 for front and then WGT kicks in and plays the round for you what ever you try and do. 2 birdies on a back where even if i played left handed i could score over 2 in any other ranked round.  I wouldn't be bothered about the 2 birdies if it was me messing around and playing bad, but i was on fire on the front and back was decided by WGT.  BUT i'm beginning to feel that it wasn't me playing the front either, just WGT being generous.lol.  I had 3 approaches where i aimed left for wind, dinged the shot and shot started off from pin, HAPPENING MUCH MORE FREQUENT, (why not admit you've done this on purpose WGT to lessen precision on clubs, to shut me up) Another example was 117 yards from pin, i play PW full spin (116 yards usually) and to my amazement i get 126 yards, COME ON thats 10 yards over what i should get normally. if every thing we do right is wrong but when you do something WRONG it turns out to be right, to me i'm not playing any more i'm just a puppet in WGT's round, playing the game on AUTOPILOT. (example was #17 when for once it was my mistake 7 mph left to right wind, i missed late by this much {-------} and ball went straight as an arrow right for pin.  How can you say this is fair when the winner will get to score well on front AND BACK yet i have to put up with deviation to LIMIT my scoring.  We both paid the same price to enter so why would he/she get a normal round for 18 holes but i get the Vem/deviation on back because i scored well on the front. yes i know i might enter same tournament tomorrow and WGT "MIGHT" give me a HOT round where every thing goes right and i score sub 58 but cant you see that all this does is point the finger to the fact that ready go rounds are "controlled", certain players score well or bad depending on WGT not the player themselves.

  this is starting to get a bit stale now and enthusiasm is rock bottom. Please WGT introduce something good in the elite section to spend credits on as the threads getting very bare

  I had a similar (but backwards to your round) 18 in the weekly SP at CCC...after holing out on 1...I finished the front at -5...always seems if I hole out on the first hole, I rarely have a good 9...back nine though I was still missing dings and leaving myself 15-18 feet away, but finding the right speed and line on the putts and they started dropping..I finished with a 58, with no "help" from WGT,..dinged shots still caught deviations and left me long or short, missed dings always left me far from the hole.

   

  Normally I would have bagged the round, but as my CC is using the SP 18 Weekly for a Summer Tourney, I had to bear down to grab some points for the week and not let the constant long putts I was left with get me down.

   

  You really have to get that "manipulation" thing out of your head (IMO)...dinging a shot that should go 145/146 and winds up 150/151 is just part of the game that needs to be played through, when you start thinking "okay, here it comes"..you're done for.

  I just played 3 rounds and the meter and club yardage is all over the place..Smells fishy

  BTW #13 plays 126 to the hole

  Suppose i cant complain here, as i rarely do well in these weekly games. I played the week 36 9 hole single play game this morning. I was -7 coming off the 8th green. On the 9th hole, i was 103 yards from the pin, with a direct 18mph tailwind. I used 90 yards of power on my 100 yard cleveland wedge, and dinged it. The ball stopped at 90 yards.

  I could only par the hole, but couldnt help feeling that shot cost me. The leader in the game is 1 stroke ahead (at the time of posting this). Bummer.

  It's not. Just a load of people in the forums defending a game that is not actually a game and never will be. I think they're still waiting for donations that they'll never get.

  I actually had 1 man say that the graphics on PP were better than WGT. They don't have a game to play so how does he know that...lol
