    Corwyn:

But above all, we are relying on each other's honesty to preserve the integrity of the tourney. In a tournament like this, we depend on each player checking their partner, and being responsible to the whole field... just as in real golf. Golf prides itself on being one of the very few games where it's the players that uphold the rules, and call penalties on themselves. So, we can do the same, and ignore that box on the right of the screen that's trying to tempt us to take a gimme. After all, in Tough-It-Out with a starter putter, even a less-than-2-foot putt from say, above and beyond the hole on #13 at Olympic or from many other difficult spots, is far from a gimme!

So, just to be clear, Gimme's are NOT ALLOWED in Tough-It-Out tourneys.

I just got back and want to add to what Corwyn has already said here. Gimmes are not part of Stroke Play Tourney Golf of any kind. Frankly, I find WGT adding this feature insulting. Players must always stroke the ball until it's final resting place(the hole) entirely themselves. I can't imagine the integrity of the game being put second to "speeding up" the game.

Gimme's are NOT ALLOWED in Tough-It-Out Tourneys.

Thats a rubbish feature when you cant see it on score card. Maybe it will be fixed.

Me and Dazza had planned to play today and so we did, for 3 holes then on 4th wgt failed so we had to restart and once again when we are on 4th problems. So another restart and this time we just got to 1st hole. We then gave up.

We are scheduled to play our round saturday and hopefully things has been solved.

    Hi Slayer,

Well, we like to try and pair people up for both of the last rounds based, as closely as possible, on leaderboard position...

... so it's a little tricky to get pairings made yet, with so many 2nd rounds still to play.

I'll take a look tomorrow morning, and see where we are, and if I can least settle on some pairings for those already finished.

    Thanks for raising the question!

    Cheers, Corwyn

    Corwyn:

JMan and I have been in contact about our best timeslot, it could be tricky to hook up as he has internet issues at certain times of day and I have a busy weekend of the missus' birthday break with the family and then up to Scotland Sunday night.

Hopefully I can catch him tomorrow day or at some point on Sunday, but we also have a little issue of a 7hr time difference.

We both may need a marker or extend into monday to get played.

Thanks for the update, Neil. And I'm glad to hear you and JMan have been in touch.

Can you both share some more detail about when works for you over the next few days (anything that I can use to do some juggling if needed)?

    Thanks!

    ----

And please, anyone else, do share where you're at with scheduling, or if it isn't working out and we need to make any changes.

    Hello Neil,

Personally I'd rather play around 6-10PM PST.  However, my internet isn't the best at that time - ask bhoese who marked for me.  I'd hate to ruin my playing partner's experience with 5-10 second loading each shot.  My internet is usually extremely smooth around 2-4AM PST.  Saturday morning around 2-4AM PST  is my Option A to get full 18 holes.  Option B, sometime later during Saturday or Sunday.  If we only get 9 holes in at a time, that's better than nothing.

    Thanks,

    JMan

This is his reply to my message asking what's best for him.....at the moment I have no chance of "Option A" and could possibly make some time on Sunday depending on whether I get called back to work Saturday night, which is very possible.

Ironically I have most of tomorrow free as the job I was on has been postponed (which is why it's very likely I could get called back Sat night)

I'm thinking that if either of us gets a chance to play with a marker, and even split it into two 9's, we should take it.

Once again I was having what I thought was a good round, when... disaster struck on the 10th hole on RSG.  It wasn't so much the fact that I found a greenside bunker, it was the fact that from that point right up until I finished the hole, every single shot I took did something unexpected; full LW bunker shot only going 4 yards, a fairway slope not affecting the length of a pitch at all, and a putt that displays break not breaking.  Complete let-down after some promising practice rounds (I can tell that this is going to become a recurring theme)...

    On the plus side though, I did manage to give it the old steroid jerk on #7 and hit one out there 257 yards;
