First of thanks very much for that Roger.
mantis0014:I rented out the L96 Odyssey. I found it hard to tell the difference in meter speeds between the L96 and L70, but I think the L70 is sightly slower.... I think...lol
What I suspected. A tad too much poetic license in the advertising LOL. I tried the L92 Ghost a while back and the meter seemed the same for all intents and purposes as my L70 Versa. A bit naughty IMO, but shows rent before you buy is best.
mantis0014:Who at L96 will have 100ft putts though.
I kinda suspected aimed at the long distance putting comp. market looking for whatever. I don't touch those so not a concern for me. Next free rental weekend I will a/b the new L94 against my Odyssey just for idol curiosity of meter speed. IF that is slower (cynic inside me suspects yes) it's again a bit naughty but is what is.
mantis0014:I will be keeping my L70 Odyssey.
U me both:)
mantis0014:$40 I would spend on a new set of irons that is better than my R11's (hint,hint...lol), but not the new putter
Well I am sure they are desperately working on a way to do that, and they won't be shy about the price either I am sure:)
EDIT:
fmagnets (an elite player obv) said the following about the Nike and it's precision. I do not see that on short straight putts but he is the top player so what he sees is worth more:)
"The extra half dot of precision is noticeable. With 4 dots, you will get the occasional putt that seems to deviate off line straight of the putter face, enough to cause a couple of lipouts a day on fairly short straight putts. With 4.5 dots I have yet to see this happen. Probably not worth the credits for most players, but an extra place up the leaderboard in just a couple of RGs a day and it's paid for itself in no time."
