Just played the pr3 tourney and had 7 putts lipout that shouldve went in, CMON WGT WTF, this game has givin me such a sour taste in the last 6 months or so. I shoot well in any thing but the wgt tournies and I dont understand it, every wgt tourney I enter I can never do well and I dont know why it's like wgt has a grip on me and wont let me score in any wgt tourney I enter whether it be a stroke play or a readygo. Really debating on quitting this farce of a game now.

WGT has a way of doing that to people.  I have talked to so many that feel that same way, yet we all keep coming back.  It's almost as if WGT thinks that the customers cannot tell when something has changed in the course of play.  It does seem cyclic and the good days are far, far outnumbered by the bad days.

Then you get some people that post here that seem to enjoy ridiculing those that vent their frustrations and most of them have no idea what you are even talking about because their game isn't good enough for them to recognize what you are talking about.

Best advice I can give is to take a few days off then come back and see if it has changed, I am sure it will, but God only knows in which direction the change will go.  All in all, for those that enjoy the game of golf, this is still the best site that I have found, even though I feel like you at times.

Good luck to you 454SS (on hell of a vehicle I might add).

    LD

For me, I've always just chalked it up to failing under pressure.

Non tourney rounds, there is no real pressure to do good, even though I always played to do my best.

But when I go into a tourney, then I know that shooting low is a must and all of a sudden I get the "virtual yips" lol.

Happens in real life for me too,  just last weekend, I played 18 holes with my father just drinking and having fun draining putts and bombing drives.  Ending the front 9 with a 38.

Then I run into a league buddy on the turn, he joins me and my dad for the b9 and of course we make a bet.  I ended back 9 with a 48 and all just over $1 a hole skins lol and I took a but load of money from this guy during the league this year.

Post should be titled (it's a fact). These things happen to everyone from time to time, some folks it seems to happen all the time. I have loved this game for a long time now and I get frustrated. Check my score history, it has been a month today since I played a ranked round. May be another month before I play one. I check in on occasion and play an AS with friends. I have realized that this is a game, to be enjoyed at my leisure and nothing to get upset about. I have never played for credits or prizes so I may be in a different mind frame than you. Regardless it can be a hell of a lot of fun and again, nothing to get upset about.
