I think everyone has been bitten in the *** by this game and it is frustrating to hit it right over the cup or to roll it to have it stop 0.2 short.  I think it happens to everyone, don't take it personal.  If you watch that average pretty soon a good game for you will be -1/-2 lol.  Seriously just play and have fun and one day everything will click and you'll putt (lol) together a few good rounds and you will be there.

Then you only have to start over again to get to legend.  And, that is a serious case of headache time compared to TM.

Just have fun and play the game

You made it. Isn't it a shame to see that average rocket upwards?

With all respect, how would you know this, your a Tour Master not a Legend!!

I found this game to be getting boring around the time just prior to achieving 'Legend' status. When l finally made the 'grade' and began teeing off from the 'carpark' as they call it l would be driving from the tee and firing into the green anything from 7 irons up to wedges.

Make the leap to Legend, your average will go up, the greens will be faster, at the beginning you'll probably think WTF?

What you will actually do is, learn to play the game again. Tee shots will need to be longer and straighter, the once 2nd shot of 120 yards and a wedge will now become a 3, 4 maybe even a 5 iron, trying to get the ball to stop on the green, an example being Bethpage #5, from the back tees you fail to make the fairway from the tee, you can forget about reaching the green in 2, you'll be laying up, looking at if your lucky salvaging a par.

The second shot you hit there will need to clear the bunker at the front of the green with enough backspin imparted to allow you to stop the ball on the putting surface without going into the rough/fringe at the back.

You'll have to start implementing a course management strategy, you will learn the game again, and take my word for it , you will actually enjoy it, as you did once before.

I don't recall a single statement that said I was a legend.  I am trying to get to legend.

    Sorry I offended you

You never offended me, ok maybe l read into it wrong, but the way your statement was worded you knew what it entailed.

    wisdom22:

You could try sending a complaint in to wgt and they may lift the block  on you

I see tin foil shares have risen again.  Seriously people, there is no room full of WGT boffins watching everyone's round and hitting a big button marked MISS PUTT when they think you're playing too well.  Putts get missed, shots go astray, these things happen.  Sure, there are plenty of WTF? moments around here but there are at least as many in real life. Who do you complain to then?

A more realistic answer to the OP can be found here:

    CerinoDevoti:

IMO the problem is you watching your average. Forget the stupid number and just play. The more you play to lower your average so you can tier up, the more you'll tighten up and make mistakes.

I have to agree, when I read this

it suggested to me you were talking about something you'd already done.  Apparently this is not the case but I can understanding anyone reading these words reaching the same conclusion.

    Thanks for clarifying that MainzMan.

As for chuddlymccannon, as mentioned there was no offence meant/taken. Maybe we just dont understand somedays, but never the less the journey you undertake you will enjoy it.

This would have headed off the same thought I had.  ;-)
