I understand your point having seen complaints in the forums regarding the single balls cluttering inventorys from the freebies (personally I can't see the problem) so the easy solution would be to reject the ball. Personally these balls are great for blitz or CTTH (if I played them).
The benefits to WGT would be better customer relations and the possibilty players might try a different ball.
