it began shortly after the latest update,
in which you appear to have added some more
adware/spy trackers and all sorts of useless crap
    like the hideous backgrounds.
anyway since that update, something has changed
in the way the game loads different cam points and holes,
media5 seems to hang for long periods of time
before switching to the next location,
there's absolutely nothing to indicate that it's on my end,
since all tests on other sites show excellent connectivity results,
further more it's more than one or two players that complain about this lately,
a fact that would indicate that the source of this issue is with wgt.

sometimes location loading loads like it should,
but recently it's getting increasingly harder to finish 9 hole rounds
in under 40 minutes, these hang times can go on as long as a minute,
and countless bug reports have been submitted (hope someone gets them).
when it gets real bad I find myself giving up the tedious wait and calling it a day
which sucks, because despite everything, I still enjoy the game (when it runs properly)

hopefully you do something about it.

Go into your browser settings and you should find an option that say something like this

Send a ‘Do Not Track’ request with your browsing traffic.

If you are having load issues due to tracking cookies this could help you.

    I don't know if that's the case,
I've been troubleshooting this for a while now,
disabled all the add-ons, enabled every port and cookie type,
and I don't think that's it, plus this loading thing fluctuates all the time
meaning it will drag on and on, and after a few holes it loads quick as it should
but then 10 minutes later it will go back to hang while loading,
so if that happens in mid-play without me changing anything
it means that it's on wgt's end and I know this because
I run advanced connectivity tests all the time so it's not on my end.

And by all means clear both caches & reset settings after an update. Get rid of those corrupted files. They can cause any number of issues, none of which are good.

There are files necessary for the proper & timely loading of the game.  They are stored in the cache.

Do remember that once you've cleared the cache, these files are gone, & will need to be replenished. At least in my personal experience, loading is a bit suspect in the beginning, but gradually clears up.         :-)

always a good advice but I don't retain cache for more than a day.

If it is fluctuating like that, ever stop to think your internet bandwidth is fluctuating and may be the cause. That could be a wifi problem, line problem or a faulty modem or router depending on what you are using.

Been there done that. Changed both my carrier & modem and have had 1 my fault disconnect and zero fluctuations over the past year. The disconnect happened last night during a storm.

always a good advice but I don't retain cache for more than a day.

Remember every time you clear your cache you are deleting data that helps the game load faster. So in essence you are slowing it down.

see, I knew this would happen.. this is why I hate writing these in the forums,
people automatically assume you're an idiot, and while some are, I'm not.

I've been playing this game for 3 years
and I know what I'm saying, so thanks but no need for the idiot proof tips guys,
plus WADR this is meant for wgt staff
and the only reason I posted it publicly and not as a PM
is for others that get these same issues,
if you don't, that's great, but it doesn't mean a whole lot.

so if this doesn't happen to you or concern you, please don't comment,  thnks.

You might first try unchecking 'Hardware Acceleration' and see if this helps, if you're using Firefox.

I'm using Firefox 24 (32 bit) and have no problems with next location loading or multi-player games loading next hole location.

I'm not trying to make you look like an idiot in least G. Just trying to help.

It sounds like you have a bad cookie, or you need to clear the proverbial browser cache. If you have cleared the browser cache and are still experiencing loading issues, and are using Firefox, I suggest you Reset Firefox. This will fix many issues with the browser. It will keep all of your browser Bookmarks, cookies, and cache. You will have to change back to any browser settings you may have previously changed.

Here's how to Reset Firefox if you don't know how,

Click Firefox tab > hover pointer over help > click troubleshooting information > click Reset Firefox

Firefox will compile a folder of all your old Firefox files and put it on your Desktop. Some people keep them, but I delete them with a Windows Utility program.

Let everyone know if this helped G.

Well I'd start by checking your internet speeds and see if you get what you are paying for.
