I kind of understand that competitions in real life are played on a green as fast as the greenkeeper dare to cut it, but personally I'd like to see it mixed up a bit in the weekly events.

    Is that possible please?

Just started playing rd2 of the multi and after the no wind/ tourny front 9 set up I was hoping for a bit of a change, maybe high winds on slow greens........but nope, yawnament greens again :(

I run a handicap comp in my CC and changing the green speeds brings some very varied results. Give it a try WGT, it might liven things up a bit!

Yes this will be a nice idea but there are players that will not like it one bit because I had a Legend in my Country Club and he always complayed about the green speeds and a week later he quit the CC so I don't know if players will approve of this.

Green speed is set by Tier. Legends play on Tourney Speed greens.

I thought that might be the case, but I imagine it's not a problem for WGT to set the same green speed for anyone entering?

Shame that, variety mixes it up. Surely a better player adapts quickly?

Easy enough mapping stuff out but if conditions change and it gets you having to play different tactics that must make it more interesting?

A bit like playing over a weekend and heavy rain hitting overnight and the course being totally different the following day, it's things like that that keep me enjoying the game in real life.

That is a good idea Paul and agree but I don't imagine WGT tournaments will change.

In my CC we run tournament with everything from slow to tournament green and no one has ever said anything negative about it. It's the variety that makes playing fun and frustrating at the same time. But it's all in good sportsmanship.

What's more troubling is wind direction will cause someone to have an advantage or disadvantage in these tournaments. A person might get a favorable wind on a particular hole that may be a huge difference maker.

I'd like to see WGT pin the wind so it's the same for everyone, e.g. everyone has a 10 MPH headwind on hole 1, everyone has a 10 o'clock, 12 MPH, L to R crosswind on hole 2, and so on.

I recently ran a CC bracket tournament that was single play on 4 different courses. It was a huge success but a few players felt that wind conditions might not be fair for the reason I stated above. Particularly if a high tier player was matched up against a lower tier one due to their tee boxes and possible heavy wind disadvantage.

With the equipment being tied to level instead of tier, I can see their point.

Interesting in that I just played the second leg of the WK 41 Free Multiround Open and it was on tournament greens. I don't recall what the green speed was for the first leg.

I started that tournament as a TP and I'm a Master now. So unless I was hallucinating, or it was some kind of glitch, it would seems WGT can set green speeds independent of your tier. Wish I would have taken a screenshot.

What about ranked stroke multiple player modes. At one time the green speeds would var, but not any longer. AS games was also varied, but not anymore. Why has WGT changed these things and never release when or why?

Agree totally with what you're saying about the wind set up, why this has to varied from player to player I'll never know. How is that a level playing field?

I think it was many weeks ago I had a helpfull wind on the reachable par 5's. Makes the best of Par 5 very unfair unless you're given the good winds.

I have the same problem with my comps, the links courses are rarely set stronger than moderate. We all love the challenge of high winds on those courses but it's silly for one player to have a 30mph headwind and the next to have a tailwind.

WGT have the ability to set what ever tee boxes and green speeds they want for all entrants, happens in many comps, why not apply that to the weekly's?
