Oldbayrunner: Just remember, we with the little stars Kicked your country's red white & blue union jack a$ in the late 1770's, early 1800's
I was staying out of this one:)
Little bit more to it than that. As an early lesson in how the overwhelmingly superior military force can lose the overall war though it is certainly true.
Oldbayrunner: saved your a$ in the 1940's.
I come from Battle of Britain area. The contribution of young American soldiers and everything America did can not be overstated, but nor can that of young men from an ill prepared England (edit should said Britain) fending off the greatest war machine man had seen on their own for a while. Many countries / brave young people contributed to the freedoms we hold dear.
Oldbayrunner: If it we're for our little stars you'd most likely be speaking another language other than English.
We all might be if it were not for the contribution of many against Nazi only driven tyranny.
Oldbayrunner: Knock the person not the country bud!!!!
America is a great and respected country. I could not agree more
Maybe upon reflection the writer would be careful not to point it that way at a country.
EDIT: Fraenkel has IMHO a very good point. No offense to any one but take 5 all. Open forum and my view point.
