SLOW DOWNLOADS

  Hopefully someone, anyone, can help me.  WGT cannot.  Every time I start a game, any game, it takes about 2-1/2 minutes to download and sometimes other players do not wait.  I understand.  I have been to WGT many times and they are no help. 

  I turn off the loop, I have gone to settings but still nothing helps. 

  I have a 64 bit operating system, 32 bit flash player, Windows 8, 3.40 processor and 16.0 gb ram on a fairly new computer.  Other games are not slow.

  Sooooo, can anyone help me?

  I have noticed in last few days lots of slow loads. In 2 days I have attempted to play about 6 alternate shot games and managed to complete one game. Just tried to play another one and we all had slow loads. Then my screen went blue and i couldn`t get back. Then tried a monthly stroke play and it worked fine without re-loading. Only seems to happen on alternate shot games for me. It`s nothing to do with my browser. I think it`s a WGT problem and lots are complaining !!

  Are you allowing cookies, and are you emptying your cache after every session, it sounds like the browser your using is struggling replenishing your cookies and cache.

  What browser are you using ?

      When playing an Alt-Shot game, all four computers take different routes to the game server. So one weak/poor connection can cause no-joy for the others. But once all are connected they "should" get better loads. I've noticed in games I've been in, that the slow loader does get better, sometimes it is after the first disconnection. But there are occasions that the game fails.

  Be interesting to see what results people get if they 'ping' wgt.com. Mine doesn't exactly sparkle at 215ms....

  around 298 ms from north of Thailand, but the newspaper Bangkok Post is 50 ms.
